Lil' Bitch Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Early 90s. Some Batman Cover. The Joker is shown with some cards in his hand, two of which have Batman and Robin on them individually (or maybe just Batman). The Joker also has this really evil smile (similar to the cover of when the Joker is taking pictures of Batgirl after he shot her) Any idea what issue I'm talking about? A friend was asking me and wants to get a copy of it. I apologize for the lack of description. Thanks in advance.
Guest SP-1 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 If Zsasz can't tell you, go to www.comicboards.com/batman and ask there. I'm fairly certain someone there will recognize it sooner or later. If not . . . then meh.
Steviekick Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Do you know if it was the self-titled Batman series, or was it Detective Comics, Legends of the Dark Knight, etc.?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 No idea. There's really nothing to work on there. Any Joker story from that period that I don't own could have that artwork. It's pretty generic. I can help you in finding it: -It's not an Legends of the Dark Knight cover, they almost never do Joker stories. -'89 was a BIG year for the Joker - The cover wasn't part of the 1992 KnightFall storyline so you can eliminate that year as well.
Sass Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 The description given sounds like it might be one of the Robin mini-series issues from the early 90's. I don't recall any issue of the 4 core Batman books sporting that cover in the late 80's/early 90's.
Bruiser Chong Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 That's the one I was thinking of when I first read it, since I recall approx. 358 variations of the cover being released, most with the same setup as the one described.
