American Gladiators

Has anyone played it?

I recently found this game on a ROM site and have been playing it on my emulator for some time now. Disregarding the fact that Powerball is the only regular event that's close to the real event, this game is friggin' hard. Assault is terribly simple, and you can't actually lose at Powerball. Human Cannonball is quite beatable. But Joust and the Wall are damn near impossible. I finally beat Joust on level 1, but I can never beat that damn Wall. I got a code that gets to level 4, where I beat the three easy events, although Human Cannonball was much harder, but Joust and the Wall still stand in my way.

I want to get to the Eliminator in the worst way, but I don't think it's humanly possible. I'm more likely to break my fingers from all the button mashing in those two damned events.

This game was both incredible and an incredible pain in the ass. Powerball and Human Cannonball were so much easier than everything else. What a goddamn brutal learning curve. 6 year-old me shed many tears over the goddamn Wall.

I preffer the SNES version, mainly because the NES game is a pain in the ass to beat.
