Guest rawmvp Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 The PPV is Backlash, a RAW exclusive PPV extravaganza. You know what this means, right? Yep, Chris Benoit will win the Royal Rumble, move to RAW to challenge HHH for the World Heavyweight Title at WM XX, lose to HHH at the biggest PPV of all time via screwjob, get a rematch with HHH at Backlash, and finally capture the elusive World Heavyweight Championship in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta!!!! You may think this is anticlimactic, but you really can't go wrong with winning the most prestigious title in your freakin hometown! Makes sense to me.
Guest Krazy Karter Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Oops there goes another rubber tree plant.

Guest rawmvp Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Yeah, these days WWE wrestlers are always embarassed in their hometowns. I mean, even Vince McMahon's right-hand man has been incessantly humiliated in Oklahoma. If J.R. is spat upon the way he is in his hometown, imagine what WWE is gonna do to Chris Benoit, a WCW progeny. In all seriousness, I could see Bret Hart refereeing the rematch between HHH and Benoit in Edmonton. It makes perfect sense -- Bret Hart gives a teary-eyed speech at WM XX and is later perturbed upon discovering that his Canadian comrade, Chris Benoit, was SCREWED by Vince McMahon out of winning the World Championship. Why does Vince McMahon involve himself in the title match? Because he's seen "enough disgusting Canadian splendor for one night...and Bret Hart's remergence has reminded him of how he loves to screw Canadians..." Enter Sheriff Austin, who says that at Backlash, he will allocate the one man -- besides himself -- who strikes fear in Vince McMahon's heart, ensuring that there would be no interference this time. "So, at Backlash, it will be Chris Benoit challenging HHH for the World Heavyweight Title with Bret "The Hitman" Hart as special guest referee/enforcer." Money in the bank.

I DO NOT want to see HHH go over at Wrestlemania again. I've had enough of that.
Lil' Bitch Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Is this the first PPV Edmonton has gotten?

Lord of The Curry Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 So should I start adresssing you as Black Jack Ketchum from now on? Or maybe "The Notorious B.J.K"?
RavishingRickRudo Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 ...my true identity has been revealed. What's funny is that I referred to myself as the "Notorious J.O.H.N." today... funny... AND CREEPY! STOP INVADING MY MIIIIIIIND!!! - Black Jack
treble Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Is this the first PPV Edmonton has gotten? Yup. Now maybe Ottawa will get one soon.
thuganomics Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 I thought Benoit's winning the rumble was kind of obvious, as Lesnar & Heyman's "you'll never get another title shot ever, Benoit" set up is the exact same set up Angle & Heyman used on Lesnar the year before. My guess is that Heyman will still refuse Benoit's title shot, leading to him taking on HHH. That way HHH gets to main event WMXX.
EdwardKnoxII Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 I've said it once and I'll say it again. If they have Benoit win the rumble and go to RAW it's going to make him look like a coward and Heyman and Brock will win. And it would make no sense seeing the build up they have been doing for Benoit the past few weeks.

Doctor Collosus gave me this mind-reading device so I could actually use it! *Reads RRR/Notorious B.J.K's mind* Sweet fucking Jumbo Tsuruta. P.E.I is a pretty bland place to live.
JN News Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Well, it was a good life... RRR's Interest in Pro Wrestling: 1989-2004 I think that picture is very symbolic of what will happen to Chris Benoit & his career after Wrestlemania after he jobs to HHH, because based on the predictions of RAWMVP, it looks like we all now know the outcome of this year's main event. This is sad.
