Aero 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 So I'm watching the 1999 Rumble match earlier today. Already in the ring are guys like Austin, Boss Man, HHH, Val Venis, Jarrett, X-Pac, and a few others. Right before D'Lo comes in at # 28, you hear HHH say from a far, to someone, "If I throw you, can you hold on?" It's pretty loud, too... although this is the first time I've ever noticed it. Lol, I never caught that when I watched it. Worse was Ken Shamrock's very loud "SLAP ME!" to Ryan Shamrock at the 1999 Royal Rumble.

yankovic fan 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 I'm partial to 2001 since I was in attendance. Aside from that, I really enjoyed 1995 despite the 1 minute interval that was mentioned. I never seen 1992, but I memorized the article in the results in WWF magazine and it seemed great. 1993 disappointed me too for the whole Savage "forgetting." But I loved the third entrant of Papa Shango and then getting immediatley eliminated. (I think he was third.)
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 The winner of which Rumbles were the biggest surprises? It's usually easy to pick a winner. Would it be Flair? Vince? Austin in 97?
Papacita 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 I'm not sure how obvious it was to smarks, but I didn't see Shawn winning in 95. That came completely out of left field to me. When I heard Flair won in 92, I was shocked too, because even though we all hated Hogan (well, most of us anyway), my friends and I were all sure he would win it again. Austin's and Vince's wins weren't much of a surprise to me.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 Flair, Michaels (first time), and Austin (first time) were surprise winners for me.

I love it because the camera is no more than 3 feet away from them; you can hear every word so clearly.
