I would have to say that I enjoed the movie a LOT. But anyone else diggin the fact that whenever anyone got stabbed or cut the blood totally sprayed everywhere? I thought that added soooo much to the scenes. The gore effect was obviously added in to create an even more unrealistic vibe. That's why this movie works, it never takes it self seriously.

I liked the movie, just got it yesterday after ordering from CH.

 

I prefer Jason over Freddy any day, becuase Freddy scared the shite out of me as a youngster. Jason is just cool. Jason was just going HOUSE EN FUEGO~ on people at that party. The ending fight scene was amazing, I hadn't read any spoilers, and I thought Jason was going to lose.

 

Does anyone think they'll make another one down the line, or a new Freddy or Jason movie?

They were discussing a sequel before the movie even hit theaters. With the box office succes the first had, there was no doubt that we would see at least one sequel.

 

The biggest rumor about the sequel has Ash getting involved, but there's no official word on anything about the planned sequel.

Seriously, this is the only problem I had with the film. The thing that sucks is that Hodder was easily the best Jason, but they didn't even ask him to0 do it.

The man is HUGE, I'm talking bigger than he was in Jason X.

 

I love Kane's work as Jason but he has just gotten too damn big. The new guy did a nice job.

 

And I LOVE Ronnie's idea for the ending. Odds are it would have cost about 100 million to shoot the final scene but it actually sounded cool. I'm starting to think Yu should do SPAWN 2 with an idea like that. That sounded very Spawn.

 

And his ending was better than that god awful alternate ending. I at least thought I'd get to see the Monica bouncy. Shame, just a shame.

Yeah, while I'm all for her in a bra...they've pretty much done the same Freddy ending with every movie. The alt ending sucked.

Her in a push up bra was nice but damn it would have been nicer without the stupid fabric

 

She should have showed them considering her acting was just beyond horrible.

 

And also, I realized the story isn't that bad and Yu did a very good job directing. It's just the female casting seemed to be, "ok, what size bra do you wear? Ok, how much do you weight...GREAT! You're hired! No, you don't need to read any lines, thank you and see you on the set."

 

And for the guys?

"Ok, I want you to stare blankly at this sheet of paper...remember, no expression. Good. Now, can you act like Jay from the Kevin Smith movies? No huh, well we'll find him later. Ok, can you cough? GREAT! You're hired. No, no you don't need to read any lines."

 

 

The main goal for part 2 has GOT to be to get some people who can act. I mean, I agree the movie needs nudity but for goodness sake, make her be able to talk without me wanting to yell "SHUT UP" at the screen.

 

Acting needs major work but otherwise, I think you can get a solid storyline out of this.

Crystal Lake turns into a giant hand that drains the lake and pulls Freddy and Jason down to Hell. Lori's dad comes to the now dried-up Crystal Lake and finds Freddy's glove. Lori's dad would then say something about covering up the whole Freddy situation. As he is about to pick up the glove, Freddy's hand pops out of the ground and pulls him into Hell. In the following scene, you would see Freddy slipping the glove back on, while having an evil smile on his face. There would be a gleam of light off of a machete, and Freddy's smile would turn into a look of fear, with Jason coming up from behind. Freddy and Jason would start fighting again. The camera would then pull back, revealing that Freddy and Jason are fighting in Hell, complete with a bunch of demons watching the fight.

 

I probably left out a few minor details, but that's about the gist of it.
