Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 From BWBK from blabbermouth: DIMMU BORGIR publicist Maria Ferrero has confirmed that drummer Nick Barker has left the band. No further information is available at this time, but details will be announced as soon as they become available. Dimmu just cancelled their Japanese/Australian tour without reason Their website is down. Probably rained on dimmu's make up cases to. Apparently also he has spent the last several months totally disinterested in all things Dimmu. This just kills the band for me though since I don't think Galder and the Bass player whose name escapes me now can impress me enough to keep me interested. Fucking metal musical drum stools going on lately. Wonder where one of the best 'flash' drummers in metal goes now.
Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Boo-urns. Well, at least I have Puritannical Euphoric Misanthropia to cherish forever.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Damn, Barker brought a fire to the last two CDs with his drumming too... I wonder if they can find anybody now to duplicate that, otherwise future concert playings of those songs will suck horribly and the Bass player whose name escapes me Vortex, whose awesome clean vox are horribly underused (I know it's black metal, but still, they mix his voice so well in certain songs)
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Vortex, whose awesome clean vox are horribly underused (I know it's black metal, but still, they mix his voice so well in certain songs) Which is why i love his work. He is singularly distinctive in his singing style

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 They could always pick up Hellhammer. He left the Kovenant. Anyway, I really don't care. Dimmu ranks with Cradle as my least favorite black metal band.
