Guest Olympic Slam Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 What exactly happened to Dean? What were some of the comments he said that made him fall so far behind? He made a bunch of comments, which the media decided were "screw ups" - He made a silly remark about the Democrats needing to reach out to Southerners that have pick-up trucks and Confederate flags. - He then made a number of statements where he insiniuated that Bush knew about 9/11 ahead of time and did nothing to stop it. - He claimed the U.S isn't any safer now that Saddam has been captured - He said something along the lines of Bin-Laden not being responsible for 9/11 and Bin-Laden needing a fair trial when and if he is ever captured. - Many comments about the War on Terror being a waste of time There's more, but I can't think of them all. Basically, when Dean became the supposed front-runner the media started giving him more in-depth coverage. I guess people were turned off by the above statements and or his obnoxious personality. I believe the media sabatoged Dean because they want a candidate that has a better chance of beating Bush. For two reasons: 1. Bias against Bush. 2. Closer election = more analysis coverage = more viewers = higher ratings.
Styles Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Basically the mainstream realized what we have been saying all along...he's nuts!
Jobber of the Week Posted January 30, 2004 Author Report Posted January 30, 2004 There's a debate now on MSNBC. I await the bitchslapping and holes being shot in feet. Dean was first, now Clark. EDIT: Lieberman just called himself a moderate.
Styles Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 EDIT: Lieberman just called himself a moderate. And he is.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 - He said something along the lines of Bin-Laden not being responsible for 9/11 and Bin-Laden needing a fair trial when and if he is ever captured. Source?
Vyce Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 EDIT: Lieberman just called himself a moderate. And he is. It's a lie! He's a CONSERVATIVE! [/liberal]
