Vanhalen Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Here are all the people currently being tracked by RIAA on Kazaa RIAA Hitlist
Guest DR PHIL Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 I didn't think they'd release the names of who they're tracking. Do they have to do it for legal reasons?
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 DR PHIL Posted on Jan 29 2004, 06:18 PM I didn't think they'd release the names of who they're tracking. Do they have to do it for legal reasons? Its a scare tactic. If the people see their name on this 'hitlist' they might be encouraged to leave kazaa before the bad guys have to tie up the courts and waste their money suing them.
Guest Krazy Karter Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Even if you're on the list you're not exactly fucked. Your web provider still has to give them your IP. Some providers are against doing that.
Mik Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 kazaaliteuser is listed three times. We are all busted now.
razazteca Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 kazaaliteuser is listed three times. We are all busted now. The scare tactic did stop the progress of k-lite, it is hard to find now.
Guest Doyo Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 The scare tactic did stop the progress of k-lite, it is hard to find now. That is mostly because the owners of the original Kazaa program threatened to sue the makers of k-lite, which is pretty ironic.
razazteca Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Its almost as bad as the crap the programmer of Diet Kazaa went thru.
SamoaRowe Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Yay, I'm not on the list I guess I shouldn't be, though I downloaded quite a bit in my day, I haven't been on Kazaa in many months.
