Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 29, 2004 When Big Show injured Rey that was an accident. Hell, these guys should feel lucky Big Show does know his own strenth and he's not killing them in the ring. I was at the same hospital the night that happened and I never saw them bring Rey over. I was pretty disappointed when I got home and learned about it. At least he didn't have to travel far since the hospital is right across the facility it happened at (Worcester Centrum Center)
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 I just remembered Finlay stiffing Holly during that match. Yet another reason for me to buy the DVD. God, I can't wait to watch that again.

Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2004 I think holly was outside of the ring doing a full nelson and didn't appear to let go when people started coming out to get it back in the ring and Holly just goes flying. It looked like he was attacked, so the camera man pans to the side and finlay looks to be getting held back himself. I may be exaggerating the hell outta this, but this is how I remember it, and I was laughing my ass off.

Guest nikowwf Report post Posted January 30, 2004 I'm just scared Holly will injure Angle at No Way Out. Angle looks like he will be facing the master of sucktitude at the next PPV. Â niko
clean rob 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2004 Eh fuck your opponent, your supposed to be beating each other up. No...no, you're not. You're supposed to look like you're beating each other up. Â IMO, the spot would have had the same effect and been considerably less dangerous if Big Show had held on to the board and thrown it away from him as it bounced off the ring post, making sure to turn it before release so that Rey ended up landing on his back. notJames 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2004 Did anyone notice after Holly was thrown out by Angle last night? The crowd started chanting "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey..." before the sound faded out. Looks like Vince and Co. don't want to acknowledge the fact that regular fans hate him, too. Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted January 30, 2004 "You're supposed to look like you're beating each other up." Â And what better way to do that than to actually beat eachother up. Â The way I see it if you willing to dish it out than take it and have a great fun match where you kick the shit out of eachother and the crowd walks away wondering what injuries you have. Â Not saying be reckless, but don't be scared to make contact, that kind of shit pisses me off.
clean rob 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2004 Fair enough, but the way I see it is if you get two 250 pound bags of muscle actually beating each other up, you're going to get some pretty nasty injuries sooner rather than later. Â There's a big difference between being scared to make contact, and not bothering to adequately protect whoever you're in the ring with.

OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2004 That's because Nikolai was a big oaf and couldn't lift his big leg high enough to kick his opponent above the knee. Â Lex Lugar on the other hand with that weak clothesline of his.....

Don't forget his over-sell yell  (Luger is rammed into turnbuckle) AAAAH!!!!! (Luger gets punched) AAAAAH!!  He must've been related to Mike Sharpe in some way. Guest Goodear Report post Posted January 30, 2004 The funny part about this thread is how much people like Finlay (who was a stiff a bastard as you'd ever see) and dislike Holly for having the same tendencies.
Guest netslob Report post Posted January 30, 2004 Many wrestlers took great pleasure in seeing Fit Finley attack Holly in a stiff manner during the recent pull apart brawl on Smackdown. I know I had a good laugh when I saw that. yeah, let Finlay take care of Holly...he'll teach ya all you'll need to know about 'Hardcore' there, Sparky. Scroby 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2004 I've sorta noticed something with Holly lately, he only stiffs the guys who are green or doesn't have a whole lotta in ring experiance. The kid of TE I think his name is Matt sorry I haven't heard from him in awhile, Matt Morgan and he tried to make Brock look bad by Sandbagging it but Brock broke his neck for that. I don't think Holly would try that with Angle just because in all seriousness Angle will cripple Holly in a second. Plus I would love to just see Finlay beat the crap outta Holly. Fitt's always been an ok guy in the ring, his matches weren't normally boring but ok.

Guest Monday Night Jericho Report post Posted January 31, 2004 Finlay may be stiff but he isn't clumsy. He is also a much better wrestler and has a very good reputation from many of those that have worked with him. Can't really say the same thing about Holly. haVoc 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2004 Two weeks ago on Smackdown. Brock walked out on the handicap match and Holly attacked him. Guys came out to break it up and it happen then. It was real quick. If you blinked you missed it.
Guest The Masked Avenger Report post Posted January 31, 2004 It seems to me that Finlay was equally stiff with everybody, not just the new guys or the low carders.
