Mole Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Guess what guys, they need to get behind their future stars NOW so the fans don't see them as chokers or also rans. This DVD is a decent enough way of telling people that Cena is here to stay and he's one of the elite. Having him win the US Title at NWO would be another. Wow, we agree on something. That is exactly how I feel.
Guest Deebo Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 I can understand this, Cena is the most popular guy in the WWE right now aside from Austin (and maybe Eddie). And you know, Smarks aren't the only people who buy these DVD's.
Guest Anglesault Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 the DVD will include highlights of his feuds with Brock and Undertaker, his battle raps with Angle and Show, the rap from Baghdad, unedited material, and 2 hours of DVD extras with matches, such as ones against Benoit, Eddie, Angle, Undertaker and Brock, plus more. So let's see. Two highlights of feuds that had no highlights, RAP OFFS, a blooper reel, and a really good match, three decet matches, and a GOD AWFUL SHITFEST? Eh, the kiddies will like it.

I thought his matches with Taker were very good AS, they're highlights.
Lil' Bitch Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 I'm always up for full matches as DVD extras.
Detective Comics Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 <-- is in college (actually, I'm here _right now_) <-- is studying marketing Same here, and if their Latino audience is a huge as I've been told, they better put the title on Eddy G ASAP
Austin3164life Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 I personally like the character of John Cena, although I believe they turned him face too quickly. I was just watching his matches with Undertaker and Benoit, and they were both very good. Now, it's obvious that Taker and Benoit controlled the flow, but for a proverbial rookie, Cena never looked lost and didn't blow any spots like some other young talent (coughORTONcough). I'll get this DVD solely to have it for when Cena becomes the WWE's next megastar. EDIT: John Cena had a decent match on Smackdown with A-Train of all people. I don't hate A-Train, but Cena does show some promise, ring-skills wise.

I thought his matches with Taker were very good AS, they're highlights. The second one was SO long. Vengeance was quite good for who was in it, I agree. Still no reason to include any matches from the TRIFECTA OF SUCK~! (echoing SUCK~!) I'm horrified that Lesnar and Cena might be number one and two in the company, only because they'll fight each other like Rock/HHH, and all three Cena/Lesnar matches were brutal.

JustJoe2k5 Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I doubt their uncensored footage will be as bad as John Cena's rap at the fan convention from JAPW's 6th Anniversary Show. I swear that every other word was f*ck.
Si82 Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 when is it scheduled for release? Early May in the UK so probably about a month earlier in the U.S.
Guest Astro Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 <-- is in college (actually, I'm here _right now_) <-- is studying marketing <-- bitches about Benoit on RAW Me too Wow
Guest Askewniverse Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 when is it scheduled for release? March 2nd is the release date, according to Highspots.com. Angle's DVD is also scheduled to be released that day.
claydude14 Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 I mark for Cena, so I'll prolly pick this up. Hopefully they have some of his better raps, like his one on Billy Gunn from Smackdown in Rochester in July. What I'd really like is an Edge and Christian DVD with all their comic heel stuff with Commish Foley, the kazoos, 5 second poses and what not.
Guest croweater Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Sweet Jesus. An E & C DVD would just absolutely rule....... Hardy Boys got their own video so it's only fair. A John Cena DVD is a great idea because: It will make the company money. More money than a Benoit, Bookert T or whoever else DVD at the moment.
