Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Dave Scherer at pwinsider.com reported that Luger is saying he's going to be working for TNA again soon. Dave kind of thinking out loud said that it probably will happen at Bound for Glory. I was one of the few in favor of having Luger come in, but just that once. I think doing it again would be crazy. Having Hall and Nash would be enough "name" value to get some old time WCW fans to order it I think. Adding Savage, Luger, and Piper to the mix would be over kill for 2 reasons: 1. Taking up too many slots on the ppv so now your normal guys can't showcase what they have. 2. Waste of money This doesn't even count Sting, who I guess just kind of gets a free pass from me since he's shown up about 5 times and is not a horrible worker. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Wasn't Luger saying the WWF would be calling any time a few years ago?

Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Does anyone know if they have a specific contract with Panda energy to fund the company? If so, does anyone know when it would end? thanks
Silence 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 I guess that means CM Punk, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn, and Chris Sabin will all be jobbing to them once the WCW rejects get signed. At this point, it seems like those 5 would probably be better off wrestling only in MLW and/or ROH as far as the top 3 indy feds are concerned because it seems like Jarrett's on a mission to get them buried by Luger, Hall, Nash, Savage, Chyna, etc.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Except some of them have signed contracts with TNA.
Silence 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Except some of them have signed contracts with TNA. I know Jerry Lynn just signed, and possibly Styles and Sabin, too. I'm not too sure about Daniels and Punk, however. Still, if Hall, Nash, Luger, etc. do end up making a mockery out of the 5 I mentioned, it would probably send shockwaves through TNA if they all ended up quitting the promotion over that and hopefully teach TNA a lesson for bringing in broken down has-beens (Hall, Savage, Piper), never-weres (Luger through most of his career, Nash), and freakshows (Chyna). They shouldn't wrestle in TNA and only in MLW and ROH and maybe some other indy promotion because they can get a nice payday on a WEDNESDAY NIGHT anywhere. Well it's either that or we'll start reading reports about how "The reason AJ Styles is no longer over with the crowd anymore is because Luger berated him on the PPV with the whole 'you can't compete on my level' promo and killed AJ's pops even more by beating him 3 weeks in a row". Now how is THAT a good idea? Because TNA has done some stupid shit in the past with their best wrestlers and I don't see why they wouldn't now.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Everyone who's a TNA Regular or is on the website is under contract. Skipper recently signed, which explains his absence of regular appearences, ditto Lynn.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Again I say, this is coming out of Luger's mouth. When has Luger ever been a credible source of information for anything?
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 I'm not surprised they're resorting to the old-timers like Luger, Mantell thinks TNA's audience is aged around 50 so he's just bringing in the wrestlers his supposed audience can identify with. All these youngsters with their flippy-floppy bullshit are too confusing for them.
Guest JacK Report post Posted February 7, 2004 I don't even know who half the WCW and ECW peeps are, it's not like I've ever seen any of it. Though I figure if Luger comes on and loses, WITHOUT being run over by a truck/train/tram/other large vehicle and puts someone like Punk/Sabin/Daniels/Sanders(I can hope )/whoever over, then it won't be *that* bad . . . really . . .maybe . . . *in theory*
