Guest Joe_G Report post Posted February 9, 2004 This was a benefit for a local 4 year old who has cancer. Looked like about 300 people there, the place was packed and Corino made reference to turning people away. I get there in time to see Mighty Minnie (not sure of the name) and Blade over ? and ? when Blade hit a swanton. The Blade and MM actually used “Power of Love” by Huey Luis as their entrance music. “Sudden Impact” Dylan Cage over Vince Dicarlo (not sure of name again) with a rollup Slyk Wagner Brown over “Latin Fury” Luis Ortiz when Slyk hit a facebuster out of a crucifix powerbomb. Ortiz nearly broke Slyk’s neck when he got him in a powerbomb position and rammed him into the turnbuckle. Regular show: Punk and Homicide went to a time limit draw. Okay match. No one did any dives all night, mostly because there was about a foot between the ring and the crowd. Guillotine LeGrande and the Solution over Greg Spitz, Alex Law, and Ricky Landell when LeGrande made Landell submit to a move that escapes me now. Mega vs. Rapid Fire Maldonado: Quite not good. Maldonado wins by escaping a move and rolling up Mega for the pin. Christopher Street Connection over Jack Victory and Dr. Heresy: Usual Connection comedy match. CSC win after hitting the Gay Basher on Heresy Corino and Jerry Lynn over Spanky and John Walters: Spanky played face-in-peril until he made the hot tag. Walters eventually gets pinned after a cradle piledriver from Lynn. Probably the MOTN. Intermission Josh Daniels over Matt Striker: This was the battle of the PWF tag champs, although they never explained what the PWF is (I know it’s Corino’s fed, but I’m guessing most people didn’t). Daniels works over the arm and gets the win when he avoids the Play of the Day/O-zone and scores an Oklahoma roll for the win. Good but crowd wasn’t into it. They had a ceremony where they brought in the kid who the show was being held for and his family (along with a guy in an enormous Spongebob costume). The presented the money the event earned and played a video on the wall. Masato Tanaka and Yoshihito Sasaki over Simon Diamond and CW Anderson: Fun match. CW hit the spinebuster of Sasaki but walks into a roaring elbow for the pin. Low Ki beat Justin Credible to win the PWF title. Ki kicked out of the tombstone (although the tombstone Linda McMahon took was more dangerous than the one Low Ki took). Ki locked on the Dragon Clutch for the win. They had a raffle for all kinds of items, including a signed pair of Corino's trunks.

Looked like about 300 people there, the place was packed and Corino made reference to turning people away. I was one of these people. They only turned about 7-10 people away and I was kind of mad that they couldn't squeeze the rest of us in....Fire codes are the suck.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2004 Hey 'Mortal, did you happen to see our mutual buddy Gary there? I know he and another kid from work were heading up there, and I don't think they had tickets yet and planned on buying 'em at the door.

Slap me and my friends for not going to Fall River earlier to beat the crowd or buying tickets in advance. Hey, the less time spent in Fall River, the better. I hate that place. Damn, that must've been an AMAZING show live, if you were in the front row. Talk about close up to the action...
ulfistgut 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2004 Pah, in wXw the fans stand at ringside (no barriers/no seats). And the guys still do dives, people just move
