LucharesuFan619 Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Credit: Larry Goodman Upcoming XPlosion dates for Wildside talent: 2/18 for Onyx; 3/3 for Todd Sexton and Terry Gordy's son, Ray Gordy Jr., who'll also be starting with MLW soon
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Terry Gordy's son wrestling??? WOW, I had no idea.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Ray Gordy was the first Gaijin to be brought into NOAH's Dojo, as a last request from Gordy Snr to Misawa. He stayed there, but disapearred once it was time for him to be called up full-time, I was curious to know what happened to him
Guest TDinDC1112 Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 He has wrestled a couple of very good matches agains AJ Styles in a small indy in Georgia called NAWA.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 From what I hear, Ray Gordy is really good.
thuganomics Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 I've also heard good things about Ray. Looking forward to seeing him pop up again.

LucharesuFan619 Posted February 9, 2004 Author Report Posted February 9, 2004 For those interested...his finishers are a pumphandle facebuster and the asiatic driver, and he also uses a spinning fisherman's suplex and a tiger suplex.
Downhome Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 I really need to start going back to the Wildside shows, I miss doing that.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Another thing, Barber...the reason why so many Wildside guys get TNA Xplosion spots is because Bill Behrens is the guy who books all of the indy jobbers for the show, and he of course runs Wildside.
LucharesuFan619 Posted February 10, 2004 Author Report Posted February 10, 2004 Another thing, Barber...the reason why so many Wildside guys get TNA Xplosion spots is because Bill Behrens is the guy who books all of the indy jobbers for the show, and he of course runs Wildside. Ya, I know. I'm well aware about Behren's role in the NWA.
Downhome Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Bill Behrens is one hell of a guy, I've spoken to him on the phone and through email, so yeah. He even gave me "permission" last year to film a documentary on Wildside and it's training school if I ever finally decide to do so. If I could ever find other wrestling fans who cared about doing something like that, I'd do it.
