EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 Lesnar Frustrated; Nowinski Getting Heat Tension backstage in WWE... - Word is that Brock Lesnar is growing very frustrated with the tough WWE travel schedule. He has gone as far as tell friends that if he could make the same type of money he makes with WWE doing something else, he would quit. Lesnar's main complaint is he only has 30 minutes a day to go to the gym. - Christopher Nowinski is getting heat backstage for taking so much time off over a concussion. Most feel he should have been back by now since someone like Kurt Angle has had two neck surgeries in a short span and has returned quickly. Highland 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 Nowinski is also clearly smarter than Angle for not wanting to live the rest of his life with a broken down body and possibly in a vegetative state.

Credit: 1wrestling.com Ummm, he had the same concussion that ENDED the career of the Hitman IIRC. What retarded moron in the back would want to put heat on him??? I mean come on, is the WWE high school now?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted February 10, 2004 I'm not surprised Lesnar is complaining. He's a really young guy who's been given the torch to carry his brand, and he does house shows. I'd guess he's just blowing off steam.
Highland 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 I wonder who it was that was giving him heat? Probably Hardcore Holly.

I heard Brock isn't a fan of those newfangled computer thingamajiggies.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 Nowinski is also clearly smarter than Angle for not wanting to live the rest of his life with a broken down body and possibly in a vegetative state. Exactly Nowinski wants to come back when he's almost at 100% health. I mean look at Angle he's rushed by after his neck surgeries and we have all seen how good that has been for him. I think the reason Nowinski is getting heat for this is because he's TE kid and thus didn't pay his dues to get to the WWE like the rest of them. Please note that this isn't what I think but, what I think the lockerroom thinks.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 That Brock part is bullshit, and if he did say it then it was probably taken out of content. One of those things after a long day of traveling the guys get to the Arena and sound like a bunch of old men talking... "If I didn't have to put food on the table for the wife and kid I'd be out of here." Of course some rat ran to Bob or whoever is doing the "news" these days. I'm sure some "Johnny never had a job before" will enter the thread and be all "Brock should be happy with what he has been given." God forbid he blows off steam. Guest IB2BLACK Report post Posted February 10, 2004 That Nowinski story can't be true. Who would complain about taking time off, after he suffered basically an injury to his brain? I'm Nowinski health & well being is more important than wrestling.

The Dames 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 I've got a question. What COULD Brock do elsewhere that would feasibly get him about the same amount of money as he's earning now? I can't think of anything. Dames

Put eddy over at Mania, jump to Raw...have the ****+ series with Shawn and Flair and Rock and retire in your hometown... Rest for 6 months...go to NOAH and do 3-5 Shows and retire for GOOD. I believe they were offered shoot fights, but I might be wrong. In that case, I can definitely understand. Angle shouldn't try doing anything strong style and Lesnar's neck isn't exactly stable either after the Shooting Star Press from Mania. Dames

Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 10, 2004 since he is still a young pup...I'm sure it's less then 225,
Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 If he's only making $225,000 then if I was him I'd want to quit as well if I could find something else to do. Being the World Champion, being the entire centerpiece of the WWE when it comes down to it and more specificly on Smackdown and since he's been doing so for a while now, then he should be making a good deal more. I find it hard to believe that's all he's making.

PRIDE wanted them to do shootfights. Either way, they were going to get paid big money. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 10, 2004 I understand Angle with his Medal Expirence but is Brock popular merely for his size? I mean Brock isn't the only two-time all american out there... If Size is the factor, why aren't they interested in Batisia then? It can't be that he sucks...they like Goldberg over there... The Dames 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 He can powerbomb The Big Show and can wrestle on the mat. That should be enough to have him over anywhere, especially in Japan. Dames

Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 10, 2004 I heard Lesnar made 967,000 dollars last year alone... wouldn't suprise me with the money he gets with Merch and PPV payments and such... $225,000 is just the amount most of the OVWers seem to make, If I recall Mysterio salary is 75 grand but likely he makes a nice deal with merch and shit.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 I doubt he moves that much merchandise. I don't see everyone running out to get their "Off the Hook PAIN" T-Shirts. Dames
Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2004 If Lesnar, for some reason, left WWE and went to Japan he would become one of the most over wrestlers ever to perform there. Not to mention that we would quite possibly see some of the best matches from over there from the past few years. If he was allowed to go all out with some of their better talents, it could be amazing.
Guest JMA Report post Posted February 10, 2004 Lesnar, IMO, is the prototype for the next generation of wrestlers. He has it all: mat skills, size, strength, speed, a good look, and mainstream appeal.
