Ced's Pondering Attending a Business Seminar

Recommended Posts

OK, I just got off the phone with an American Express recruiter who apparently found me through my resume at monster.com. They've asked me to consider attending a "Career Presentation" about possibly becoming a Financial Advisor. I've checked out the details and the offer appears to be 100% legit. The problem is the last time I attended a business seminar, I had a charismatic black man try to convince me for an hour to pay him $1000 to learn his business secrets. I'm a little less skeptical about this offer since there's a legitimate business behind it, but not by much.

I'm not that likes to waste time on fruitless things, so does anybody think I should sit down for this two-hour presentation?

I just read the title, and just wanted to be a smartass in saying that you already have considered.

I didn't actually read your post.

Now that you point that out...damn you for pointing out my minor faux pas with a smartass remark on top of not even replying to the original message. You dick...

EDIT: BTW, Paragon, your sig pic with Bas always frightens the bejeezus out of me when it pops up. It makes me want to hide somewhere and cry.

Aside from finding alternative ways to escape my current despised workplace and still maintain some source of income, no.

I was shocked to see the pic as well.

I actually read the post this time, and I wanna know; if you all have to lose is an afternoon, where's the risk?
