Ced 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 OK, I just got off the phone with an American Express recruiter who apparently found me through my resume at monster.com. They've asked me to consider attending a "Career Presentation" about possibly becoming a Financial Advisor. I've checked out the details and the offer appears to be 100% legit. The problem is the last time I attended a business seminar, I had a charismatic black man try to convince me for an hour to pay him $1000 to learn his business secrets. I'm a little less skeptical about this offer since there's a legitimate business behind it, but not by much.
