JoeDirt Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 In Hogan's face run in the WWF until he left after KOTR 93, were there any matches he won WITHOUT using the big boot / leg drop combo? I remember he beat Sgt. Slaughter one time with an inside cradle...I _think_. Anyone else remember any others?
deancoles Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 he used a roll up in a match with Brutus Beefcake which was released on Video, He beat Slaughter with a Camel Clutch in a few matches in the Summer of 91.
Guest Indikator Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 The only real finisher besides the leg drop was the axe bomber before his WWF tenure
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 For those who don't know, The Axe Bomber is a type of clothesline. I forgot the difference because I only seen Hogan win with Boot/Leg Drop combo. If I had to guess, he would clothesline someone with the tip of his elbow.

Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Did he ever capture a victory utilizing his dreaded backrake?
DangerousDamon Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Did he ever capture a victory utilizing his dreaded backrake? I don't think so. But when Hogan does the Axe Bomber, it's kinda like a side stepping clothesline with his bicep.
EdwardKnoxII Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 What about anything when Hogan would wrestle in Japan? Did he finish with the legdrop? I know he did some suplexes when he would wrestle there.
MillenniumMan831 Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 What about anything when Hogan would wrestle in Japan? Did he finish with the legdrop? I know he did some suplexes when he would wrestle there. He pinned Stan Hansen in Japan with the clothesline and Dr D David Schultz as well.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 He used a bear hug in his early WWF heel days as well.
Slickster Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 He used a bear hug in his early WWF heel days as well. See: his '79 match with DiBiase on the Hulk Still Rules DVD.
Guest Bogey316 Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 So basically Hogan has never had a good finisher.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 So basically Hogan has never had a good finisher. Well back in 1979 a Bear-hug was DEADLY~! Now it's mearly a tranisition hold.
Guest wildpegasus Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 So basically Hogan has never had a good finisher. The axe bomber is a pretty good finisher and is over in Japan.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Fear Hogan's POKE OF DOOM! How could we forget that one? That really was gonna put butts in the seats. Which is why WWE SMOKED WCW in ratings until WCW died.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I would have to agree that the Axe Bomber was a pretty good finsiher.
