Brock/Eddy- ****1/4 (Excellent) Angle/Cena/Show- **3/4 (Solid, fun) Rey Jr./Chavito- ***3/4 (Very good) TWGTTP/APA- ** (Decent) Holly/Rhyno- *1/2 (Meh..) Scotty/Rikishi vs. Bashams- *3/4 (A bit slow, but not too bad) Noble/Nidia- 1/2* (Booked fine, wasn't too stupid) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Aero 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2004 Having just seen the show today, it gets a 6 or 7 from me. The only stand-out match on the show for me was the main event, which totally delivered. Here's my ratings... Too Cool vs. Bashams & Shaniqua: * Boring opener, with two dull teams. Noble vs. Nidia: DUD Just horrible. APA vs. TWGTT: *3/4 Decent match that was slow in the beginning. I'm really happy TWGTT won, though. Holly vs. Rhyno: 3/4* Another really boring match that seemed to go on forever. Rey vs. Chavo: ***1/2 Best cruiserweight match in a long time, with a bad finish. Triple Threat: **1/2 Dull match to start, and it picked up in the end. I liked the finish seeing Angle chop block Cena and lock in the Ankle Lock to win. I would have really liked to see Big Show destroy Cena afterwards, though. Brock vs. Eddie: ****1/2 Awesome, awesome match, and a definite MOTYC. I figured it wouldn't be as good because of too much focus on Goldberg, but luckily he only came in for a quick spear, and they gave Eddie some time to win the match on his own. That is too ironic, although I wouldn't say Rock/Hogan II was as awful as Steiner/HHH II, but it was hyped too much and didn't have the same feel as WM X-8.
