And frankly, is anyone surprised that with the amount of moves that I've made, I'm actually in contendership for first place? I mean, honestly, anyone think my team would be this good? I certainly didn't think I'd live up to the high expectations I placed on my team.

The injuries are making me angry, hell in one league I have 5 or 6 sitting on the bench doing nothing or pitch hitting.

I just want to vent my frustration with the NL league. I hold onto Chase Utley for a month, I finally cave in and drop him to get an OF in Preston Wilson's spot, and the day I do that Placido Polanco goes down and Utley kicks all sorts of ass in his spot. FUCK, I knew al would be the one to get me on that one.

Ya know...I sorely miss Trot, Garret Anderson and Prior right now heh. Prior probably more so as my offense has been remaining solid each week but my pitching has been up and down throughout the season. Bit the bullet and picked up reliever John Reidling of the Reds, 1 ER in 22 IP and a 0.41 ERA can't hurt, he'll likely take Rodrigo Lopez's place in the pen on my team as Lopez is now moving into the Orioles rotation in place of Ainsworth.

I'm getting pretty lucky in the NL league. Sexson gets hurt, so I pick up Cordero for a bit before he gets hurt. After that, I pick up Daryle Ward right before Sexson gets off the DL. Ward was on a bit of a hot streak, and I didn't want to give him up for nothing, so I made a trade offer before I got around to taking Sexson off the DL. Thankfully, the person who I made the offer to never saw it, since Sexson got hurt again while still on my DL and Ward's still playing well.

 

Tom Glavine and Chris Carpenter are helping out, too, and I don't think anyone thought Clemens would pitch this well.

My team of half of the Rangers will eventually catch up in the AL league. I can't believe everybody forgot about Herges in the mixed league..........he had 11 saves at the time and was a free agent!

I am officially treading in the NL league. As in tread water and hope to high hell that AJ Burnett and Nick Johnson come off the DL this week and give me a boost.

 

And in the mixed league (non H2H) my strategy is to get every single pitcher in the league on my roster at some point.

Sean Casey is the greatest back up ever! When Thome and Helton got hurt its not a big deal since I have Sean Casey to move play at 1st Base then I can either play one of my backup SS or OF.

I passed because I wasn't sure he'd get playing time. I have Eric Chavez anyway, so Youklis wouldn't have helped much. Justin Morneau was a great pickup however. And the Cleveland Indians decided to make Jose Jimenez their closer, so I grabbed him as well.

Ahh, in the NL league I had Glavine, Carpenter, and Clemens all starting tonight and even though none of them gave up more than 2 runs, none of them picked up wins (in Carpenter's case, thanks to the Cards bullpen).
