razazteca Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 I have been doing that all season but unlike White Sux I get burned by my closers who destroy my ERA and WHIP.

EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 For RP, honorable mention to my Johan Santana. 20th in the league overall, and #1! over the last month. Who would guess that he leads the AL in strikeouts?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Note to players in the AL/NL Only Leagues. If a player is traded to the other league, he no longer accumulates statistics for your team. You can keep him on your fantasy team, but he won't accumulate stats unless he's traded back to the league.
razazteca Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 As Clubber Lang said in Rocky 3 "I predict pain" as I gone on to challange the top teams in the H2H league. Last week Slapnuts this week the Worst Team and in TWO~Weeks its Fear the Checklist. I'm going on the offensive with the power hitting now that my infielders are health, I shall go for 20 HRs! I'm always open to trade offers.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I'm currently going around my leagues looking to make trade offers. I'm open to offers as well.
razazteca Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 So far this weeks match up has become a duel between homerun hitters as both Thome and Teixeria seem to be hitting HRs every night! While on the injured update it seems that Ramirez won't play this week but Casey is back in the starting lineup for the Guapos. Also the pitching staff so far has been keeping the ERA and WHIP to respectable low numbers and as usual this week's blown save was brought to us by Cordero. The Worst Team could of taken a bigger lead if only they made some pitching changes but lost the oppertunity for 2 Wins on Thursday night.
razazteca Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Trade deadline is coming up soon........so anybody want to send me some OF in the NL league or Closers in the AL league?
Bored Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 If anyone needs an outfielder in the outfielder in the A.L. only league please send me (BillBavasiOverdrive) an offer as I'm overloaded at the position. I have Sheffield, Dye, Ordonez, Kotsay, Rowand, and Winn. Mainly looking for pitching, starters or closers. In the mixed league (The Gallegos) I'm loaded with good starting pitching and I'm looking for a power hitter.
Lightning Flik Posted July 22, 2004 Author Report Posted July 22, 2004 (edited) N.L. I'm looking for a decent second baseman. Keeper League: Looking to get a good second baseman. EVERYTHING is up for sale, so make an offer. Just make a decent one. Edited July 22, 2004 by Lightning Flik
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 In the mixed league (The Gallegos) I'm loaded with good starting pitching and I'm looking for a power hitter. Trade offer sent..
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 In the AL league I could trade Crawford for a power hitter.
razazteca Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 I sent out an offer in the H2H league and AL only league.
Lightning Flik Posted July 26, 2004 Author Report Posted July 26, 2004 Ok. Whoever the hell is the Commish of the Mixed League, I passed the wrong freaking trade. I do NOT wish to trade with the Idiots. I meant to cancel the damn thing but I accidently passed it. I know, really stupid of me, but when you've got 5 offer things (mine and others), shit happens. If it gets passed, I'll understand, but not the trade I meant to go through with (meant to go with the Triple Alls trade). Watashi no baka.
razazteca Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I sent out several trade offers in the AL Only league........damn you Whitey Sux for being #1 in 2 leagues. As for Keepers in the H2H league would it be possible to make it 2 hitters and 2 pitchers?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I really have to protests keepers. I joined the league unaware that we would have keepers, and thus drafted two 40+ pitchers. If I had to worry about keepers, I probably wouldn't have done that. However, changing rules midstream really fucks that up.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I also have two 80 year old pitchers. But I'd just as well not keep anybody, if that's allowed.
razazteca Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I would like to protest the Innings Pitched rule in the H2H league. 7 innings is not enough for the league as you can see that White Sux has exploited the rule and is only starting one pitcher a week! I suggest that either it is extended to 21 innings pitch which would be about 3 starts or dumping the Hits and Balls catagories.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 technically, I start two pitchers, but yes the scoring in this league is awful. actually now that I think about it, I could probably hit 21 innings a week with a little rotation. Quantrill pitches every friggin day now.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 If it comes to the White Sox and me in the Playoffs, I'm not worried. I'm throwing Sheets, Clemens, Johnson, Santana and Perez out there. I'll win in wins, Ks, hopefully ERA and WHIP, and hope my offense carries the day.
treble Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I'm just hoping to stay in the top 12 so I can play in some playoff a little bit longer. I think I'm 14 games up on 13th, so it shouldn't be a problem, but I'd really like to squeak up into the 'real' playoff bracket or at least high enough to get a bye in the 1st round of the consolation.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I must say, my beloved relivers have been shit lately. Mota, Linenbrek, Hawkins all getting pounded. Only SHINGO! remains untouchable.
razazteca Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 Anybody else want to trade me a Closer?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I would like to protest the Innings Pitched rule in the H2H league. 7 innings is not enough for the league as you can see that White Sux has exploited the rule and is only starting one pitcher a week! I suggest that either it is extended to 21 innings pitch which would be about 3 starts or dumping the Hits and Balls catagories. You know, I brought this up a while back. But I must say that it should have been obvious that the key to doing well in the league was to do what White Sux is doing. Meanwhile Im getting trounced by an inactive team with no real chance of making up any ground. My offense is offensive and my pitching, specifically my relievers have gone to hell in a rubber bucket.
razazteca Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 If I wanted to I could use my relievers and bench all of my starters to meet the minimuim 7 innings pitch rule. But of course Dotel would blow some saves and spoil my plans.
HarleyQuinn Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 In defense of White Sux, looking at his reliever stats using the last week button, they would've thrown 14.1 or 14.2 IP. So it's not like he was barely grazing the 7 IP minimum or anything here. His reliever IP's for just Tuesday through Thursday = 7 IP. He still has today, saturday and sunday to get a good 2-3 innings from his relievers each day. Whoever uses the "White Sux is only winning because his relievers only throw 7 IP with the odd starter in there" is BS. His relievers alone can easily get him 10 IP or so and he wouldn't need to toss in a starter. Me personally, I'm employing the same system whilst also using my 3 starters of Garcia, Orlando Hernandez and Mark Prior.
razazteca Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 I'm thinking about only starting Braves pitchers from now on.
Lightning Flik Posted August 14, 2004 Author Report Posted August 14, 2004 I explained this at the beginning of the season, so let me explain it again. The reason why IP is the way it is, is because it is HEAD 2 HEAD. That's the only way I can make it work. Otherwise everyone's rosters would be relief pitchers only. And I'm fixing it next year big time. So no frets. I've got the bugs worked out for the most part, me thinks. Sorry for the delay in a reply, I screwed up my account and locked myself out of being able to do anything for three days.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Playoffs begin tomorrow in the H2H league. I think I'm going to land in the top three, which would keep me away from the White Sux until the last week of the season.
