MrRant Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Picked this up today at Wal-Mart while browsing for $14.98 (also got Double Whammy for $5.50). I didn't even know this was out. I love both of the Conan movies and also am pretty fond of Red Sonja. Pretty much is the Conan: The Barbarian SE packaged with Conan: The Destroyer. Conan: The Barbarian SE - Special Features: Conan Unchained, the making of Conan Feature Commentary with Director John Milus and Arnold Schwarzenegger Deleted Scenes Special Effects Featurette Conan Archives Trailer Conan: The Destroyer - Special Features: Trailer... that's it. But worth the only $15 bucks it costs. How I miss movies like Conan, Krull (which I have on DVD... PICK IT UP YO) , the first Beastmaster etc. Looks like I will be ordering pizza and tipping a few back and watching these.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Hey Rant how is that Krull DVD? I keep meaning to pick it up in the bargain bin at Best Buy and for some reason I never get it. It was one of my favorites growing up (seeing Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane before they were known is awesome) and I saw that Ken Marshall and Lysette Anthony do a commentary track on the DVD.
MrRant Posted February 20, 2004 Author Report Posted February 20, 2004 The Krull DVD owns. They have the Marvel Comic of the movie on it and you can watch the movie that way as well. They play the soundtrack (voices, sound effects etc... like Listening to the movie) to the the movie as they pan across the panels.
Rendclaw Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 That's pretty damn cool... now I might have to pick that up... *reminisces playing the arcade game*
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 Krull is a great name for a movie. I recall a rotating chakram-type weapon in that movie, and nothing else.

thuganomics Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 Damn, Krull sounds pretty good as a DVD. Too bad they didn't do that with the Conan movies... those comics were great for they're Buscema art and little else.

Actually I was just paging through the March issue of Maxim and right at the beginning there's a 2 page spread ad for Van Helsing. Hugh is standing there in a typical hero pose with a mechanical crossbow in one hand and what looks to be the Glaive's angrier brother in his other hand. Krull lives! OK maybe not but I thought it was worth mentioning. Damn I want to see Van Helsing when it comes out in May.
Guest Astro Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 I paid 22 bucks last year for JUST the Conon the Barbarian:SE *Slaps self*
