SinToxic Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Bad Boys 2 - 4/10 Il Mostro (The Monster) - 10/10 just a perfect comedy.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Friday Night Lights(2004) - 9.0/10
The Mandarin Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Fahrenheit 9/11- 5.5/10 Well, it's sure controversial. Any political biases aside, I didn't find it as good of a film as everyone was saying. It wasn't strewn together that well and I was bored out of my gourd for a few portions of it. I'm glad he's not submitting it for Best Documentary, because I would have gone on a murderous rampage had it beaten the much more superior Super Size Me. Not awful, but not a great movie.
SinToxic Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Cabin Fever - 3/10 - but the hanson kid doing karate was gold. The Cooler - 7/10, nice little film, something you could watch again after a year.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Decided to rent a couple of new films on my day off: The Girl Next Door (2004) - 7.5/10 Taking Lives (2004) - 5.5/10
Si82 Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 Reservoir Dogs (9/10) A fantastic mix of laughs, drama and bloodshed. My favourite Quentin Taratino film. Hulk (8/10) A mix of action and drama make this different to your avrage comic book blockbuster and very entertaining also. 21 Grams (8/10) A very good film with an amazing cast giving fantastic performances.
SinToxic Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Breakdown - 7/10 Pirates of the Caribbean - 7/10
Guest Mikey2Dope Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (9/10) The Last Temptation of Christ (9/10)
godthedog Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 oh, how i long for the days when i had the free time in a day to watch 2 or 3 movies.
Guest Ray Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 I watched 8 Mile for the first time recently. Didn't catch all of it though. Seemed quite good. Hopefully it'll be on TV again soon.
Guest Ray Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Gattaca Love this film. Love it. My kind of sci-fi. Thought-provoking and low on special effects. 9/10
The Mandarin Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 The Untouchables - 8.5/10 Saw it Monday. I'd go 7.5-8 out of 10.
Si82 Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 The Matrix Revolutions (7/10) I liked this film a lot more the second time. I mean, I did like it the first time but it did leave me feeling slightly dissapointed. However, I know think it's a good sc-fi war movie.
BlackFlagg Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 Team America: World Police - 8.5/10
BlackFlagg Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure - 7.5/10
Guest Evolution Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Goldfinger: 8/10 Having seen only one other Bond movie besides this (The World Is Not Enough), I have no trouble believing that this is the best Bond flick. Lawrence of Arabia: 10/10 Awesome epic, iMDB said that Marlon Brando was considered for Lawrence, but I couldn't imagine anyone but Peter O'Toole in that role, he was excellent.
Insane Bump Machine Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Over the last few days: I, Robot - **** The only thing that really troubled me was that Will Smith played too much of a goofball. He should have gone less 'MiB' and more 'Enemy of the State' in this one. Other than that, cool movie with an interesting if predictable story and some kickass CG effect work. Fighter In The Wind - **** Korean action drama based on a manga that was itself based on the real life of a famous Korean martial artist named Choi Bae-dal. A bit melodramatic at times, but an absolutely beautiful movie. Hard-hitting fights, glorious camera work and an excellent cast. Dodgeball - *** not as funny as I expected, but still good enough. The Bourne Supremacy - **** great sequel, even though the plot was strangely thin for a film like this. Matt Damon is perfectly cast as Bourne. Some Like It Hot - ***** Yeah! Fahrenheit 9/11 - **** Talk Radio - ****1/2 Never seen it until now, even though I'm a huge Oliver Stone mark. It blew my mind. Great film, almost all dialogue in the same room but still keeps you on the edge of your seat.
bobobrazil1984 Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 SAVED! A surprisingly funny movie with a great cast: Jena Malone, MACAULEY CULKIN, Patrick Fugit, and Mandy Moore (in probably her best performance ever as a super-religious-nutcase). Very strong religious people without a sense of humor will hate it, but I thought it was hilarious (especially the Jesus! pep rally, hahaha). 8/10
razazteca Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Taxi - 4/10 - This could of been a better movie if and only if it was Queen Latifah as THE CRAZY TAXI driver from the video game but Jimmy Fallon had to be a bumbling idiot cop who took away the funny. HEY HEY HEY do waste your time on this weak scripted buddy cop movie........I was expecting Queen to say "I'm too old for this" or Jimmy do some crazy southerner accent but what I got instead was a bad Carlito Cool impression. Jimmy Fallon's movie career is over before it even started, he should of done the smart thing of getting bit parts in other films before jumping head 1st with a co-star role. The best thing he can do now is beg Will Ferrel or Mike Myers for a cameo role in the next Austin Powers movie.
