Mole Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Saved! - A- The most orginal movie I have seen in a long time. The only reason it doesn't get a solid A or A+ is because it was a tad bit predictable.
Robert Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Donnie Brasco- 8/10 My Blue Heaven- 7/10 North Dallas Forty- 10/10
BlackFlagg Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight - 8/10
Si82 Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (8/10) A loud, brutal and fun action film. Behind Enemy Lines (3/10) Ridiculous, flag-waving rubbish. Totally pointless.
Guest Mikey2Dope Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Last couple days: Ju-On (6/10) Predator 2 (6/10)
Si82 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Phone Booth (9/10) A really good film with pleanty of tension and a great performance from Colin Farrell as well as being a pleasant surprise from the usual dire Joel Schmacher.
Si82 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Paycheck (7/10) A slick, entertaining actioner.
Mole Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Grind - B A lot better than I thought it would be. Seth from the OC was funny as usual, the ONLY good thing I ever saw out of that show. The Goonies - A A fuckin classic. Thirteen - A- Some people don't like this movie, but I am a big fan of it. It has some pretty deep stuff here and a lot of the "if this didn't happen, then Tracy wouldn't have acted out" stuff. Blow - B- I remember liking this movie a lot more. Only gets the B- because Depp is the man, but the movie is really a C. I must be in a good mood because those are high grades.
Guest Ray Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Master and Commander Very good. Liked that it wasn't all action or swordplay or something. Very good dialogue and acting.
Hank Kingsley Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 7/10 I'm a fan of Rodriguez's work, and this lived up to my moderate expectations. Good direction, great action, and Depp was totally and completely awesome.
The Mandarin Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 Mean Girls- (first viewing) 7.5/10 Blast From the Past- (fifth/sixth viewing) 8.5/10
Youth N Asia Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Big Fish 7.5 out of 10 Enjoyable movie, but it had been so hyped up as a classic for me and didn't live up to it entirely.
Si82 Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 The Siege (7/10) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (9/10) Secret Window (8/10)
nogoodnick Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Catch me if you Can 10/10 Snatch 11/10 Saved 7.5/10 A Day without a Mexican 3/10 Elf 7/10 Dawn of the Dead(2004) 8.5/10 Snatch is such an awesome movie in so many ways. Catch me if You Can is also a great film and Dawn of the Dead was just a fun movie. A day without a Mexican had a good concept but poor, make that terrible directon. It couldve been such a better movie.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Saw: 8.5/10 I had the end spoiled for me by an idiot, but I still greatly enjoyed it. The ending still got me alittle, because I started thinking I got a fake spoiler. The Grudge: 6/10 It's a very flawed film, but it had good ghost scenes and some quality "scare scenes", so I got enjoyment from it. My problem with the movie, is it jumps around too much and didn't do a good job of explaining a lot of the plot points.
Guest croweater Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 The Grudge 8/10. It's a horror movie which actually scared me, something that happens rarely these days. I thought the time line shifts explained the story well and in an interesting fashion. The problem was that there was not that much of a story appart from: the house is haunted - this is why.
