Blade:Trinity is badass- HHH is little more than a cameo if you can belive that. I think his character is homosexual and Van Wilder makes fun of him having a small penis...possibly shooting on HHH's roid action...by the way Ryan Reeves is as cut or more physically than any WWE wrestler on the roster...never woulda thought that.

Heh, you thought so too? I thought he was just a homophobe.

 

BTW, it's Ryan Reynolds.

 

HHH is a fairly decent role, but only to play Parker Posey's muscle (Henchmen).

I caught The Life and Death of Peter Sellers on HBO this weekend, and I really enjoyed it. Rush was fabulous, and like Foxx in Ray, I had to sometimes remind myself that it wasn't, in fact, Peter Sellers acting. John Lithgow as Blake Edwards and Stanley Tucci as Stanley Kubrick were great, too.

Incredibly disappointing. Beautifully shot but terribly shallow. Downgrade, although the "News from a Personal War" documentary included on the Miramax DVD was fascinating.

 

Antoine Doinel...so dreamy Upgrade. And since I've got nothing better to do this week, I'm finally going to watch the rest of the series!

 

Mwahahaha, breaking the rules of the thread by listing DVD features! Seriously...what's up with old films spelling it "marihuana" with an "h"? Is that just one of those evolution of language things, like in Elizabethan texts how they always switch around the v's and u's?

Being shallow in COG's case wasnt bad at all. It was a movie about young cold blooded killers, I wouldnt have it any other way than what it was - shallow, ruthless and raw.

You know, I hadn't really noticed until the past year or so when we were talking about film on SNKT, but I really like you gtd. At least your taste/views in film (man, I've been busting that out a lot lately...to show how much I mean it, I'll quadruple it )

 

Oh, and I put off Stolen Kisses for a day because my first disc of the '67 "Spiderman" cartoons came in from Netflix. Not that great either...watched about an hour and a half (5 episodes, maybe 6) tonight; if I finish the disc tomorrow and still don't really dig it I'll cancel the rest.

Beautiful, powerful, amazing film that should have won Best Picture. I'll go into more detail once I'm feeling better, but this was astonishing.

 

And it must have been at ice age temperatures in the room where Naomi Watts has sex with Sean Penn, because her, uh.. well-- go see the movie.

I caught Thirteen last night on HBO. It was a little out there at times, but it was a reasonably enjoyable, if not downright disturbing, picture that was probably exaggerated just a tiny bit. 7/10

A classic sci-fi movie that also had a social message (although it doesn't really apply that much today with the Cold War over). Kinda slow in parts, but overall enjoyable. Plus, it introduced us to the phrase "Klaatu barada nikto" and anything that inspires Sam Raimi can't be bad.
