Guest ManKinnd Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Did Heyman say if it would be pinfalls or over-the-top?
Guest Choken One Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 He didn't say it was a Battle Royal...just an OPEN. What do think works best? The WCW Style Elimination Match The Gauntlet/Turmoil WWE Style Generic Match with ONE winner
Guest FrigidSoul Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Last week's good series of shows is followed up by a crappy week of shows. How long was Tajiri vs London? Also if it is a long match is it worth taping?
Guest Anglesault Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Well, they blew it. Angle, big new monster heel gets beat up in his second week. Great job guys. I No longer care about their match at Mania. However, they have two weeks to make me care, and they haven't destroyed the angle completely yet.

He's most likely to win in his WM match. And even if he doesn't, they have still done a pretty good job of building up the match. While I don't think they will do it, the CW Open will be a great opportunity to move guys not doing anything on Raw to SD. Hurricane, obvisously, since it loks like they've given up on him and Rosie as a tag team. Also Spike.
Guest Goodear Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 He didn't lose anything, he got attacked from behind.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 AS, get a grip. So what if Angle lost? It destroys the build. I no longer see Angle as a strong, new challenging heel. He's a boob who turned heel one week and got his ass kicked the next. I have no intentions of watching a boob challenge for the belt. They had three weeks after the turn and before Mania. Angle should have been standing tall over Eddie all three weeks, to add drama for when Eddie wins at Mania. Now, we have the strong champion fighting off the idiot boob that we already know he can fight off.
haVoc Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 If anything, I think Eddie came off looking like the so-called "boob" by WWE repeating the same damn "wrestler gets arrested" storyline.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Its hard for them to be different now that they don't have real competition to steal ideas from

You haven't even seen the show and you are already bitching.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 do you have to complain about every little thing they do with Angle Only the bad stuff. You haven't even seen the show and you are already bitching. I HATE this. I don't have to see it to know it's bad There is no way "Eddie attacks Angle" can in anyway translate to "Angle stands over Guerrero's bloody body" on TV, so it's bad.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 And another thing. Why is the new huge heel ALREADY hiding behind the cops?
DangerousDamon Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 And another thing. Why is the new huge heel ALREADY hiding behind the cops? Heel Rule #1. All Heels are pussies. They will do whatever it takes to not have their ass kicked by the babyface they just screwed over. They will have said babyface fight members of their stable week after week. If no stable is present they will align with evil manager or GM-type person who will protect them from said face. So basically Angle is a heel, heels are pussies, and Angle is afraid of Eddie, so he will do anything to keep Eddie away from him
Brett Favre Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Yeah man, if Kurt beats up Eddie every week what the hell is the point of watching the PPV? I think HHH has shown this to us the past 2 years.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Yeah man, if Kurt beats up Eddie every week what the hell is the point of watching the PPV? I think HHH has shown this to us the past 2 years. Because Kurt's not gonna win at the PPV. If Kurt is built up as a loser with no momentum going into the show, why should people care about Eddie turning down his challenge?

So basically Angle is a heel, heels are pussies, and Angle is afraid of Eddie, so he will do anything to keep Eddie away from him ... Why would he be afraid of Eddie? He kicked the man's ass solidly and single-handedly for like five minutes. I'd say he can handle him.
1234-5678 Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 I'd just put Helms back on SD full time. Sugar Shane, pretty boy dick heel. You can't call him "Shane" Helms. The unintelligent "wrasslin" fans would get completely confused if there was more then one WWE Superstar with the first name of Shane.
Brett Favre Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Why would he be afraid of Eddie? He kicked the man's ass solidly and single-handedly for like five minutes. I'd say he can handle him. He sucker punched him, then used a belt. Eddie wasn't even expecting it. Now that Eddie is, Angle BECAUSE HE IS THE HEEL, is running away from him.

I'd say he can handle him. He sucker punched him, then used a belt. The belt didn't come into play until Angle had already beaten the hell out of him. And after that long, delayed stare, I don't call the initial punch a sneak attack or anythng. Angle BECAUSE HE IS THE HEEL, is running away from him So they're insuring that the feud will suck. Fine. Just admit it.
Brett Favre Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 How would you book it? Eddie comes down the ring and Angle beats the shit out of the face with no problem? Yeah, the fans would sure as hell buy that. Then the next week Eddie is scared to face Kurt Angle at WrestleMania, so Kurt Angle pops out of nowhere and yells "BOO" and Eddie runs away. Is that what you want!?
Guest Anglesault Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 How would you book it? Eddie comes down the ring and Angle beats the shit out of the face with no problem? Eddie gets arrested and doesn't come back, Kurt beats the shit out of Rey Jr.

Also if it is a long match is it worth taping? It was okay. London hit his usualy spots, but Tajiri didn't use the green mist. I don't remember how long it went, but probably around five minutes. Probably 2 stars. I liked it, but I've seen better from both of them.
Guest PowerPB13 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 If it's anything less than the entire roster bowing down and worshipping Angle as a god, then I think we know what Anglesault's reaction will be. -Patrick
Guest Anglesault Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 All I ask is that the new top heel gain some momentum. What bastard I am.
Brett Favre Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 All I ask is that the new top heel gain some momentum. What bastard I am. Well, we forgive you.
SuperJerk Posted February 26, 2004 Author Report Posted February 26, 2004 I don't know if anyone's ever had this feeling when they went to a TV taping...but watching Velocity and Smackdown back to back really makes it seems like the shows have got small rosters. And yet neither Eddie nor Kurt wrestled.
Guest PowerPB13 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 You know, some people's favorite wrestlers will never get to hold the WWF Title, or main-event a Wrestlemania. Personally, I think Angle has been fortunate to have gotten quite a bit in his WWF career, but that's just me. -Patrick
Guest Anglesault Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 What does that have to do with the creative monkies blowing the SD! ME storyline?
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I'll wait and see how much is 'a lot of offense' and see if that's acceptable for someone in a high-profile WrestleMania match. A lot of offense for someone who only know five moves. The match went on waaaaaaay too long. Well then fuck that shit. Gunn means nothing; the only reason he wasn't squashed was because of the 'loyalty' crap. He isn't even over as you said, which was his only source of justification for those who accepted him as a SD regular or a someone deserving of a push.
lomasmoney Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 What does that have to do with the creative monkies blowing the SD! ME storyline? Well I guess if you count trying to build up the HEEL as a fucking pussy who has to sneak attack his opponent to gain an advantage and then running away when its face to face, one on one blowing the main event angle, then you don't know shit about wrestling. Well, then again this is coming from the person that considers a team going to the World Series a bad season
