Kidman's Rep Improving, Wilson's Getting Worse

Recommended Posts

Calling Kidman "too small" is funny. He seems to be as tall, if not taller, than Jericho, Guerrero, Angle, Benoit, and Cena, all top people who are about 5'11"-6'1" and looks like he's about 230-240 lbs., not no 210 B.S.

 You believe that?!

Hate to break it to ya, but know those stats on the WWE webpage? Most of them are lies.

Kidman's actually more around 5'10" 185 pounds. WCW at least billed him as that and I haven't noticed any significant change in size since then. WCW didn't bother to jack up the stats of their cruisers. Similarly, Tajiri was around the 180 pound range in ECW (according to them) before jumping to WWE. I don't think he gained 30-40 pounds.

I dunno. Kidman looks a lot bulkier than I remember him in WCW. Maybe it's because he wore baggier attire, but he definitely looks bigger than he did in WCW.

WWE has smaller rings, too.

You mean the same finishing maneuver that Kidman stole from someone else?  Because most other people that do the SSP on a regular basis do it better than he does.

No what Kidman meant was that there is a code with the wrestlers that a wrestler won't steal the finisher of another wrestler that is in the same fed with him. Now if they were in different feds it would be different.

Brock didn't steal the move. It's a move that he's done before and was supposed to be a surprise highlight finish to the match. It's not like he was going out every week doing a SSP.

She has also gone out of her way to make it known that she will quit if Kidman is fired.

So what's wrong with that? She's standing by her man.

Doesn't bode well for Kidman though, since someone must have obviously been considering giving him the axe for it to brought up. If they really want him gone he'll be gone, Torrie wouldn't be too hard to replace. Hot blondes who can't wrestle are easy enough to find.

I always thought wCw used smaller rings.

So did I. Wasn't that one of the reasons people tried to use to excuse Buff/Booker? They had to take a couple of extra steps to run the ropes and it threw them off.

Regardless, Kidman is definitely bigger now than he was back in wCw. Much more upper body mass.

From the SD roster page:

BILLY KIDMAN

Height: 5' 10"

Weight: 195 pounds

From: Allentown, Pa.

Finishing Move: Shooting Star Press

Career Highlights: WWE Cruiserweight Champion; WCW Tag Team Champion; WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Champion

Maybe this is actually his real stats? In any case, he's still shy of 200 pounds. I also noticed Tajiri's bio:

Height: 5' 9"

Weight: 205 pounds

From: Japan

Career Highlights: Light Heavyweight Champion; ECW Television Champion; ECW Tag Team Champion; Cruiserweight Championship; WWE Tag Team Champion

Hm--maybe they're still exaggerating, but maybe not as blatantly.

Regardless, Kidman sure as hell isn't near-230.

I remember Show looking way smaller in the ring in WCW than in WWE (yes, I know he put on weight, but before he left WCW), and on a WCW PPV I was watching the ring looked huge. Of course, I haven't any idea if they changed it during the Russo era, but I think they were larger in 97-98.

Exactly, and people get sick of the same ones very easily, anyway.

I watched a tape of WCW's final Nitro last night, and they definitely used smaller rings than the WWF.

And while we're on the topic, how big are the UFC octagons, and how big are pro boxing rings?

Torrie was also overheard saying that she's love to go to the NWA, since Billy would fit well into their X-Division, and the name of their weekly show is "TNA" and that her career has "always been about T and A."

I guess she has no idea what the letters mean.

Okay, I made that up.
