BifEverchad 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2004 WHY KURT WHY? Feb. 26, 2004 What should have been the night Eddie Guerrero has dreamed about since the first time he stepped into the ring turned into his worst nightmare on SmackDown! last week as somebody he considered a trusted friend stabbed Guerrero in the back. Serving as referee for the match between Eddie and Chavo Guerrero, Kurt Angle not only refused to count when Eddie seemed to have the match won, but he then unleashed a vicious assault on Guerrero … all moments after Angle professed his friendship to Eddie by leading the crowd to three cheers for Guerrero’s win at No Way Out. Eddie was left bloodied in the ring as Angle seemed to take joy at his shocking actions. Why would Angle unleash such an assault on his now former friend? Was it because Angle is the No. 1 Contender for Guerrero’s WWE Championship or was there another motive? Watch SmackDown! and see if Angle has an explanation. In addition, find out who will be challenging for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania this Thursday when Billy Kidman, Nunzio, Jamie Noble and Rey Mysterio all compete in a Fatal Fourway Match to decide the No. 1 Contender to Chavo Guerrero's title. Also on SmackDown!, John Cena and the Big Show are at it again. Two months ago, their spat led to a rivalry that reached International proportions when Cena met Show during SmackDown! in Baghdad. Now the two will meet again, at WrestleMania when Cena challenges Show for the U.S. Championship. Cena is undefeated against Show and is seeking his first WWE Championship reign, but Show seems more intent than ever to defeat his nemesis. What will both Superstars have to say about this match? Will any other WrestleMania matches be added? Find out on SmackDown! Speaking of WrestleMania, last week Brock Lesnar literally got on his knees and begged Mr. McMahon to allow a match between himself and Goldberg at WrestleMania XX. On RAW, Mr. McMahon not only gave his approval for the match, but appointed Stone Cold Steve Austin as special guest referee! Moments later, Lesnar appeared out of nowhere to attack Austin and give him an F-5. Will Brock be on SmackDown! to explain his actions? Tune in to find out! All of this and more on SmackDown! at 8/7 CT on UPN or at 7ET on The Score!

The arena went dark when the Eddie segment came on the titantrons. Bah that's just the new "WWE style" mixed with a desire to save electricity. Yeah I don't think so either Askew but I needed it for the whole "EMS"-type announcement. Unfortunately there's no way to do a long ass annoying "BEEEEEEP" without pissing everyone off.
