tetsubeav 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2004 He's in OVW playing JR's special "troubleshooter" vs Inspector Impact (Horshu) and some other guys who are banded together as a stable tied together by John Laurinaitis. Basically it's some angle where drama between JR & Laurinaitis behind the scenes of the WWE is playing out in OVW, where JR is supposedly on OVW's side and Laurinaitis wants to see OVW lose their developmental crontract. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2004 Injured and likely to be cut after WM for Spring Cleaning...as they hyped him and he flopped. How did he blow his big shot when they didn't put him on TV anymore after Piper left?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 2, 2004 he blew it by not getting the character over those four weeks before Piper showed up... After Piper left, SOH couldn't carry himself since the DA was effectively dead...so he pretty squashed Funaki a few times and went injured.
claydude14 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2004 I LOVED his JD match with Rikishi, and I'm not even joking. To each his own.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2004 he blew it by not getting the character over those four weeks before Piper showed up... Oh, come ON. Did he have ten minutes screen time combined in that time? WWE was more the guilty party in that failure.

O'Haire wasn't given much to do, and IMO, he did pretty well with what he was given. The guy totally deserves better.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2004 What a tragedy of justice! Sean O'Haire stumbled through his short promos with terrible delivery. He should have been allowed to stumble through longer promos!

Guest Banders Kennany Report post Posted March 3, 2004 Well what else can we expect from some asshole who names himself "The Rowdy Scot"? He's in OVW playing JR's special "troubleshooter" vs Inspector Impact (Horshu) and some other guys who are banded together as a stable tied together by John Laurinaitis. Inspector Impact? Is he some kind of roided Gadget gimmick?
Guest Jimbo Report post Posted March 3, 2004 He blew his big shot last year. *Piper. O'Haire was gimmick, then Piper jumped on his bandwagon, eat up his heat and shifted the focus away from him....and then left.
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 When O'Haire was on Smackdown last year he sucked in-ring. Then Piper left, O'Haire got dropped to Velocity "until they found something to do with him" - and improved. Seriously. He's had some pretty good matches on Velocity for the timescale they get and has improved remarkably, not only in ringwork but also his charisma whilst wrestling. The guy was meant to be an evil heel, but was starting to get face pops whilst bashing people around. Oh, and his charisma in interviews is not in question. The guy has good mic skills, a FANTASTIC look (I don't normally give a shit about "look", but he has it so hey) and is decent in the ring. Personally I'd like to see him in a programme with Cena. Cena would sell like a bitch for the power moves, O'Haire would provide a big foe to Cena to eventually overcome, and they could cut some decent promos. The ring work wouldn't be stellar but it'd be acceptable and hey - that's what Angle/Eddie is for.

No, he was given a gimmick and sent out on to live TV to perform it, and he did a HORRIBLE job. Piper had nothing to do with that. And what heat did he have that Piper "ate up"? evilhomer 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 Michaelangelo needed granite to carve out David, he couldn't have made the masterpiece if he only had bullshit to work with. I'm not saying that SOH has that kind of talent, far from it, but you can't blame him for an angle flopping when the best thing they give him to work with was "make this guy run around naked". Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted March 4, 2004 It's no use blaming Piper. O'Haire SUCKED. ALOT. O'Haire performed horribly every single time I saw him, and he never had any heat, even when Roddy Piper was pimping him as a "future World Champion". Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted March 4, 2004 It takes a special kind of suck to have terrible - not just bad, but terrible - matches with Benoit and Guerrero in the space of a month. Benoit looked better against Nathan f'n JONES.
