Universal is getting ready to make The Fast and the Furious 3 and want Vin Diesel to return for it. Diesel's character, Dominic Toretto, will be featured in the film. Diesel did not appear in the second film.

YESYESYESYESYESYES!!

It's either this or another awful motorcycle film.

(prays for a 2005 Mustang to play a prominent role and/or Eleanor to do a run-in)

Would Nick Cage be in it also?

I don't give a shit who's in it, if Eleanor walks some rice rocket, my life would be complete. Eleanor can drive itself if it wants to, it just doesn't do it so it doesn't attract attention.

Probably not. There's too many comic book movies in development for him to campaign for to be in a movie where you live your life a quarter mile at a time...

Well look on the bright side... no Paul Walker.

Universal Pictures has given a green light to the third installment of "The Fast and the Furious" series for the studio's 2005 summer slate. Vin Diesel is in talks to return to the franchise after skipping sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious, while the studio is not currently planning to have Paul Walker, a star of both previous incarnations, return for the third outing.

Screenwriter Chris Morgan (Celllular) has been hired to pen a script. His concept picks up Diesel's character, Dominic Torretto, where he was left off at the end of the first film, a fugitive of the law hiding out in Mexico. The action quickly moves to Tokyo, the current Mecca of street racing, where Torretto tries to bail out a friend in trouble with gangsters.

The stduio is developing "Fast 3" as a Diesel vehicle but said there is no deal in place yet with the actor. Diesel's representative said he hopes to return for "Fast 3" but is waiting to see a script before committing.

Please - someone destroy the Gino demographic that keeps plugging money into these retarded films...

I'd need 20 people in each major city and quite a few baseball bats, several gallons of gasoline and an unlimited supply of matches. Let me go draw up the blueprints.

WOW ANOTHER MOVIE ABOUT FAST CARS!! I'M SO EXCITED! Damn I hate Hollywood, but you can't put all the blame on them. People keep going to these things and as long as they do, Hollywood will keep making them.

Nick Cage would be the ghost rider gone in 60 seconds.
