MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 I re-did my brackets and smarted up about having NC State beat UConn, and hence UConn would smash the Terps. I dont feel like posting all my picks but my final 4 is : Kentucky/OK St Duke/UConn Kentucky/UConn UConn wins 86-78
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 UK vs. Wake Forest and Duke vs. UConn Final: UConn beats UK 70-65

Bored Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Who's everyones low seed team that will make it to the Sweet 16 or further? There is always at least one double digit seed who gets to the second week and this year I think the best bet is Western Michigan.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I have Xavier going to the Elite 8 I believe.
Vern Gagne Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Xavier to the Elite 8, and Western Michigan to the Sweet 16. I also have ETSU over UC, Manhattan over Florida in the first round. Final Four-Oklahoma over Gonzaga UConn over Duke Championship-Oklahoma St. 68- UCONN-65

Guest Choken One Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 W/ Michigan is the only D.D team i have in s16.
Chuck Woolery Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I have Murray State in the sweet sixteen... *ducks*
Sandman9000 Posted March 17, 2004 Author Report Posted March 17, 2004 Florida A&M d. Lehigh in the play-in game. And I'm 0-1. Whoooooo.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I have Murray State in the sweet sixteen... *ducks* I might have done so to, until I read that two of their players where arrested for drug possession on Saturday.
2GOLD Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I've got Gonzaga winning it all. Do worse than THAT!
Sandman9000 Posted March 17, 2004 Author Report Posted March 17, 2004 Xavier in the final four, Illinois in the elite eight, AIR FORCE in the sweet sixteen. There's your worse.
2GOLD Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Xavier in the final four, Illinois in the elite eight, AIR FORCE in the sweet sixteen. There's your worse. Ummm, I have that as well. Word of advice: Never make picks when you have a 101 degree temp. "AIR FORCE??? AIR FORCE!?!?! What the hell was I thinkin!" My reaction when I found out my locked in picks. I have freakin Kentucky losing to Florida A&M for crap sake!
fazzle Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Well, I first made my picks with a final four of Duke, Stanford, Gonzaga, and Pitt, with Duke over Pitt in the finals. Then I decided that seemed too "safe" and made another bracket with Stanford over Georgia Tech in the finals, and Xavier in the final 4. Georgia Tech? What the fuck am I thinking?! Oh well, it paid off taking a risk on Syracuse last year, maybe I can luck out again.
Guest Bottled Black Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Final Four Kentucky, OK St, Texas, U Conn Final OK St over Texas.
Bored Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Final Four: Stanford, Duke, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State. Finals: Stanford over Oklahoma State. Yes I'm biased. Damn wish I could blow off work the next two days to just gorge myself on college basketball.
cabbageboy Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 It's interesting that no one seems to give UK any shot of winning it all, despite being the overall 1 seed. I have: UK, OK St., Duke, UConn With UK over Duke in the final (an admitted dream final). I'm also a bit mystified by the Xavier support. They got on a good run in the A 10 tourney but it seems like mediocre teams who get hot for a week tend to flame out in the tourney itself. I have U of L over them, although I'm a bit biased since I went to U of L. Though I don't have it on my bracket I think the winner there has a real shot at beating Miss St.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 These are my updated revisions that I just made (probably a bad time to make the) to my bracket. I'll probably change them again once more in the next 8 hours, but not majorly. St. Louis Cinderella Team: Utah (11) in the Sweet 16 by beating Boston College and Georgia Tech. Close Games: Kentucky vs Kansas, Gonzaga vs Michigan St., Kansas vs Gonzaga. Sweet 16: Kansas def Kentucky, Gonzaga def Utah Final 4 Representative: Kansas (4) with relative home floor advantage. East Rutherford Cinderella: Wisconsin (6) to the Sweet 16 by beating Pittsburgh in the 2nd Round. Home floor advantage for the Badgers gives them an edge. Close Games: Wisconsin vs Pittsburgh, Wake Forest vs St. Joseph's Sweet 16: Wake Forest def St. Joseph's, Oklahoma St. def Wisconsin Final 4 Representative: Oklahoma St. (2) beats a Wake Forest team spent after beating St. Joseph's. Atlanta Cinderella: Murray St. (12) to the Sweet 16 by beating Illinois and Cincinnati. The game vs Cincinnati would be in Columbus, and the crowd might be pro Murray St. (for being a Cinderella and for facing the Bearcats) Close Games: Duke vs Arizona,Xavier vs Miss. St., Duke vs Miss St. Sweet 16: Mississippi St. def North Carolina, Duke def Murray St. Final 4 Representative: Mississippi St. (2) with the "upset". Phoenix Cinderella: Western Michigan(11) to the Sweet 16 by beating Vanderbilt and NC State. Close Games: Maryland vs Syracuse, Maryland vs Stanford, Dayton vs Depaul Sweet 16: Maryland def Stanford, UConn def Western Michigan Final 4 Representative: UConn (2) will be too strong for Maryland. Final 4 UConn (2) def Mississippi St. (2) Kansas (4) def Oklahoma St. (2) Championship Game UConn (2) def Kansas (4) Im not shocked I have 3 #2 seeds, and no #1 seeds in the Final 4.
