Guest wrestlingbs Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 "Brock Lesnar's interview with KFAN radio has been rescheduled for tomorrow morning on Mike Morris's program. Morris is a former Minnesota Viking and Brock's workout buddy in town. The word here in Minnesota is that he "doesn't want to be part of a fake sport anymore." That may be other people's interpretation of him innocuously stating he wants to be part of a competition again, or it could be what it sounds like, which is him using the "fakeness" cliche as an excuse for him not being able to handle the travel schedule while keeping his complicated personal life in order." Credit Wade Keller, PWTorch. Like Wade pointed out, this is just a secondhand rumor. However, I can see Brock saying this, considering after last night he probably hates pro wrestling and wants to spit on it anyway he can. What amazes me is how, with little chance of sucess in the NFL, Lesnar is so easily and carelessly burning bridges with the WWE. Vince is gonna be pissed when he tries to come back.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 C'mon Brock, give it a try. 99% of the time it's not fake~!
Lightning Flik Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 Question is though Rudo, would Pride FC let him in with bare knowledge?
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 *Falls off chair laughing* PRIDE would LOVE to have Brock fight for them. Their standards aren't very high if you're famous. Bob Sapp didn't have a lot of experience, was a pro wrestler and former football player and they put him up against the Champ. They have often pushed pro wrestlers (In the beginning, they based their promotion around Nobuhiko Takada - a pro wrestler... and the cause of the majority of the works in the companies history. Sakuraba, their biggest star ever, was a pro wrestler. If anything, Brock may be OVER-qualified with his amateur wrestling history.) PRIDE is more about the show than the sport.

Also the Executive Producer of the bloody thing, on top of it all... But yes, They would take Brock...
The Ghost of bps21 Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 They would love for Brock to go there.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 C'mon Brock, I know you're reading! F-5 Cro Cop! I KNOW YOU CAN! Don't be afraid of that widdle highkick.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 I would gladly order a Pride event built around Brock vs. Takayama
Lightning Flik Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Well then. Would he? Could any of us actually see Brock in PrideFC? I mean, Pride would have to offer a hell of a lot of money to attract Brock.
Downhome Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 This is nothing new. Didn't Brock say something just like this in Sports Illustrated for Kids before he joined WWE?
razazteca Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Japan wants to see Brock Lesnar vs Ken Shamrock! or Brock vs Bas Rutten!
Masked Man of Mystery Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Wait wait wait...I thought the whole point was that MMA events WEREN'T FIXED, and you saw two guys battling it out. Pride fixes its events...oh God. Please just tell me the Otsuka/Silva fight at Pride 18 wasn't fixed. I was rooting so hard for Otsuka in that fight. Please just tell me they didn't tell Silva to just hold off until the third round. Oh man, youv guys freaking just ruined my day....
