One and Only TNA Thread For 3/17

Recommended Posts

So will this thread actually get any posts tonight? Will Chris Harris win the world title. Who will become #1 contender? Who will Kazarian bring in with him? All these questions and more will be answered tonight! Personally I think Kazarian will bring in Low-ki to shock Elix Skipper who wants a XXX reunion. I don't think Chris Harris will win the world title. We will either see Russo or James Storm turn to help Jarrett.

Wow, I didn't know Vince owned TNA too~!

To answer your questions...

-Jarrett will retain. Doing otherwise would cheapen the World title, since Harris is BALLS.

-AJ will win the #1 contendership, and then be defeated by Jarrett later on as Raven continues his path to Destiny.

-Frankie will bring in some obscure SoCal indy worker I've never heard of and impress me by not sucking as much as he did before he left.

-NOBODY will turn to help Jarrett, as that's expected. Jarrett will instead win cleanly in a hard-fought, 15-minute suckfest.

Isn't Spanky under a 90 day no compete?

Supposedly he was trying to work his way out of it. Since he couldn't compete with Zero-One under the 90 day period, I think.

If he ends up on TNA, he probably did work out of the clause.

Will Chris Harris win the World Title?

In a word, no. He's not really been built up enough, nor does he have all the tools just yet. I'm not as negative on him as a lot of other people, but it's most definitely not his time yet.

Who will become the number one contender?

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see Abyss win it. Abyss Vs. Jarrett would be something new and fresh, and it would be heel on heel crime which could make more people care. Besides, I see a lot of potential in Abyss, and this would be a good way to either turn him, or show that he doesn't care about anyone that isn't Abyss.

I have no clue who Frankie will bring in, but as long as he brings Tracy to the ring with him, with her big ol titties, I'll be happy. Yeah, that was sexist, and I don't care.

I'm not expecting anyone to turn on Jarrett either. I am, however, expecting Russo to make an announcement post match. For example, if Abyss wins earlier in the night, and Jarrett retains, maybe Russo will come out and say that Abyss gets the title shot against Jarrett in a table match or some shit like that. Russo will try to remain as the big face trying to screw over the heel champion until somewhere down the line where it turns on Raven making him overcome even more odds.

As far as Spanky in concerned, well, I wouldn't mind him showing up, but I'd rather see Kanyon. I think a Kanyon/Siaki feud could be good.

Didn't Spanky just go against Frankie at the last PWG show?

Kanyon can't show up for like 2 more months. TNA is definitely bringing him in then though.

Yeah, I know he had the 90-Day "No Compete" clause in his WWE contract. How many days has it been already though?

Here ya go...

Here's the Torch report for Kanyon's release...dated February 11:

http://www.pwtorch.com/artman/publish/article_7116.shtml

And here's the report from Rajah about Spanky...dated January 14th...although Spanky's last day would have been the 13th.

http://rajah.com/wwf/headlines/7279.php

That gives Spanky about 24 days left (unless he got out early as he was trying to)

Kazarian vs. Skipper is up now.

Chris Sabin suffered knee ligament damage in the Mexico's X-Cup tag match, and it's not known how long he'll be out.

Team Japan will face Mexico on April 7th. No details yet.

Vince Russo says a whole lot of nothing in the ring, and out to a rip off of "Come Out and Play," is Raven, and... Sabu? Yuck. Standard complaining about his lack of match.

Russo: "What you do from Thursday to Tuesday I have no idea."

Raven: "You don't want to know."

Apparently there's a tournament for the Tag Titles next week. Raven doesn't want that. Vince offers Raven a spot in the Battle Royal. Nope. Vince offers Raven a spot in the Abyss/AJ Styles match. Nope. He "shouldn't have to qualify." Raven wants Harris taken out of the match because he's not ready, and him put in his place. Despite the crowd's cheering, Russo won't take Harris' opportunity away.

Raven brings up politicking, with Russo denying that happening. Raven promises Vince that by the end of the night, he'll have his full attention.

Interview with Monty Brown. "We going chicken huntin'! We going chicken huntin'! AIN'T NO CHICKEN HUNTIN' GOING ON HERE!"

Actually, it's Monte, though I could've sworn it was with a 'y.'

His opponent is Black Shirt Security member Chris Vaugn? Are you fucking serious? Is this a reward for that great Xplosion match a couple weeks ago?

I love how West and Tenay mention that Monte decided not to come back to TNA until he was "ready." Nope, he definitely didn't almost cripple the World Champ or anything.

Fairplay is in the crowd with Brenda Hue from Star Magazine.

Boring squash, and I'm a fan of Brown. Plus, wearing leopard tights != monster heel.

And now let's have him run from Don Harris. Yeah, that'll get him over.

James Storm beats Douglas in a match about as eventful as you'd think. Tracy spent too much time distracting the ref, allowing Storm to pick up the win. He berates Tracy after the match, prompting Michael Shane to run down and make things better. ?Yay?

Backstage, Jarrett grabs Goldylocks' phone, prompting a semi-feminist speech. Shockingly, she didn't break the phone and yell at the manager.

Two notes.

- Goldy was yelling at Erik Watts on the phone, meaning he isn't completly out of the picture.

- Once Jarrett left, Goldy looked at Abyss with the eys of a manipulator, so that oculd go in several different ways.

Battle Royal time.

#1 and #2 are Diamond and Young. Young quickly gets tossed.

#3 is Kash.

#4 is D-Lo.

#5 is Gilberti. Kid Kash gets thrown out, holds on (a la Michaels in '95), and then headscissors D-Lo to the floor, and Kash brings himself back into the ring. Impressive.

#6 is Siaki. After hitting a huge German on Kash, Raven runs in and Evenflows Siaki. He yells into the camera, and leaves as Gilberti eliminates Siaki.

#7 is Michael Shane. Gilberti and Kash briefly fight.

#8 is Konnan. Diamond's been in for a whole eight minutes now, and West is orgasming since he's still in there.

#9 is Killings. Konnan pushes Kash off the top, and to the floor. Konnan eliminated. Diamond backdrops Gilberti to the floor.

#10 is Swinger, and he comes in roughly one second before he's supposed to, quickly dumping Diamond. Shane, Swinger, and Killings left. Swinger backdropped to the apron, and Shane accidentally eliminates him. They fight for a few minutes, and Douglas comes out. Shane gets thrown a chain, which he promptly throws back to Douglas. Front suplex from Killings, 1-2-3.

Douglas screams at Shane, and that's all for that.

This ladder match ruled after a slow start. AJ hits a 450 off the top of the Ladder, then sunset bombs Abyss through the chairs. Raven comes out and distracts AJ allowing Abyss to knock him off the ladder and AJ falls through another ladder on the outside.

So Ron "The Truth" Killings won the Battle Royal and Abyss won the #1 Contenders match??

Jarrett beat Harris by guitar shot, at one point Raven came out and pulled Harris off of Jarrett. Russo said Jarrett's next defense would be in the highest steel cage ever. AJ and Raven brawled. I'm thinking they'll have a six man type of match for the title with Raven, AJ, Truth, Abyss, Harris, and Jarrett.

So Abyss won the One on One for #1 match-up...and then Russo said Jarrett's next match would be a Cage match?

I think it's safe to say that I was pretty damn close....

Wait....people are COMPLAINING Jeff Jarrett beat CHRIS HARRIS?! I'd rather have Shane Douglas win the World Title than him.

And YES! Ron Killings is actually being pushed back to main events being the #1 contender....after Abyss.

It seems as if NWA:TNA might be keeping track of wrestlers rankings now...which can only be a good thing. Even if it is only the top two contenders, it's better than nothing. It's planning ahead, which is good.
