Mole 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2004 It just hit me…as “weak” or at least lesser then they once were, the B12 will possibly send three teams to the final four(KU, OSU, Tex)…Or A-10 could very well send two teams to the big dance. And the "power" conferences, Big East and ACC, might end up not sending anyone.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 I can see Kansas and OSU going.....but Texas would have to beat Duke(assuming both win tonight). Oh and.......maybe St. Joe's isn't overrated. Maybe that Xavier game was a freak occurence.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Scratch that.......Texas would have to get through Xavier.....which they're having trouble doing as of right now.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Everybody's talking about Duke losing to Illinois tonight. Dialogue between me and another guy today: Me: Yeah so now that my brackets are so screwed up I want U of I to beat Duke. Him: Dude, everyone's brackets are screwed up. It's so bad we're just giving everyone their money back because nobody can win. Me:....really? They are? Him:...of course somebody's gonna win, ya fucking dumbshit. And it's not gonna be you because everything after your first round picks SUCK.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Well, I made two of my Elite 8 picks, anyway (UConn and Xavier)...the way Xavier is playing, I wouldn't be surprised if they won the whole damn thing.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 I'm curious; in the closing moments of the Xavier/Texas game, they showed the same woman in the stands four times in like a minute and a half; does anybody know who that was?

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! TAKE THAT TEXAS! As an OU fan I'm sorry......I just thought it was so sweet to see Texas go out like that. I mean it would've been nice to see 3 Big XII teams in the Final Four but my underlying hatred for Texas came out as I watched them go out with a whimper. I nearly sang that godawful "Hey Hey! Goodbye!" song when Barnes was kicked out.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 27, 2004 FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK God Damn It Texas. <-Is going to have to endure a year of shit from X fans.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Come on Illinois and OSU I want this to be the second year since '79 (when the NCAA started seeding) that no #1s make if to the Final
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Did anyone hear Billy Packer before the Wake-St. Joe's game, still defending his argument that the Hawks shouldn't have been a No. 1 seed? Basically he said that if St. Joe's beat Wake they'd have to play Oklahoma State -- who Packer thought should have been the 1 seed in the first place -- and then we would see, "who really should have been the 1 seed." I thought that was pretty stupid of him to say. Just because a team doesn't win their part of the bracket doesn't mean they shouldn't have been a 1 seed. You earn your seed based first on what you did in the regular season and second (I'd assume) on what your prospects of winning the national title are. No one argued with Stanford and Kentucky being 1 seeds before they lost, so does that mean UAB and Alabama should have been 1 seeds instead? And besides, does seeding really matter all that much anyway? By the way, I didn't fill out a bracket this year because I wanted to see if it would make watching the tourney any different. So far, I like it. There are some games that I truly don't care about, whereas in the past I'd at least have an interest in them due to my bracket picks. But now I can root for teams because I like them, not because I need them to win for me to win my pool. And I no longer get mad at teams for losing....well, unless they're playing Duke. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Takes a look at Bracket.. 3 of my final 4 teams are still going (Kansas, UConn and Oklahoma St.) My final - Kansas and UConn, looks pretty solid too, and I win the Yahoo thing if that happens regardless of who wins the game. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Still have 3 Final Four teams (Oklahoma St, Duke, and UCONN) My championship game is still possible Oklahoma St. vs UConn.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 That would be a good championship game. And i don't know who would win. UConn is scary good when they're on........scary good.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Does anyone else like Duke here, or am I the only Dukie fan? I would like Duke if Dick Vitale didn't have such a hard on and pimp them all the time.
Guest Jimbo Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Bah, Vitale SHOULD be pimping them all the time. They are the perfect college basketball program...and no one can doubt that.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Bah, Vitale SHOULD be pimping them all the time. They are the perfect college basketball program...and no one can doubt that. Bah....I'll enjoy the heart attack he has whenever they get knocked out in the Final Four by UConn.
Guest Jimbo Report post Posted March 27, 2004 *notices the lack of denial to greatest progam statement* ....You know it's true. Yeah, I'm really lookin' forward to that game with UConn, too. That, and St. Joe's vs. Duke, which I dearly want to see. Anyway, picks for St. Joe's and OK St.? One one hand, I really want Nelson & Co. to pull it out and get into the Final Four, solidifying their season further, and shutting the critics up (although, with their defeat of Wake and Texas Tech, I don't think you can say much bad about them). However, my bracket as Oklahoma St. in the championship game, and I really think they have what it takes to knock out St. Joe's. Suppose my pick is then Sutton's crew, but I'll be rootin' for Martelli.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 I think OSU will take them. I mean even if they play like shit in the first half you know they'll come out and shoot like kings in the second half. They always do. And if they can shot 64%......no way St. Joe's can keep up! But......we'll find out tonight.
Guest Jimbo Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Well...if St. Joe's isn't a bunch of slouches either and if they get hot from the outside, OSU may not sitll be able to keep up with them. Shuld be reeeaaally interesting.
Richard 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 St. Joe's has to win today or I'm out of the running. If Bama wanted to upset Uconn, that would be great.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 St. Joseph's leads 33-27 at the half. I really hope St. Joe's can pull this off. As an aside, where the hell did they find Eddie Sutton? It looks like they dragged him off the set of A Christmas Carol.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Ok that's it. Anyone that says St. Joe's is overrated should be drug into the street and shot. Even if they lose this game.....they were not overrated.
Mole 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 I thought the UConn game was on around 7ish, since I didn't bother checking, but of course I get home from work and it is almost over. But oh ya, FUCK YA, my team is in the Final Four. When I saw them in the beginning of the year, I said to my pops "This team will defiently not get to the final four." But that was when they weren't playing as a team, and when they do, they win. I hope I see a Duke/UConn game.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 OSU is back in this thing! What the hell is up with this team!? They play terrible in the first half and come back on in the second half shooting like a world class team!
