If Pitt plays Ok St., we might have the lowest scoring basketball game in history.

Choken, jump on the Pitt bandwagon! We're pretty empty over here :)

Can't speak for Choken, but I'll take a spot on that bandwagon if there's any left. Pitt is my lone Final Four team remaining.

Damn you Kentucky. Second year in a row I buy into the hype, and second year they choke. Beware of those teams that have no real star on them, you find they don't make it to the Final Four.

I had Kentucky beating Stanford in the Finals. Well at least my other two Final Four picks are alive, Texas and OSU.

not me...I'm jumping on the anyone but DUKE Bandwagon...

Everyone else can ryde the X Man wagon...I can't. under general principle.

Amen, as a UD fan, I got a sick feeling in my stomach when they were up on Texas by 12 with about 2 minutes left, and at that point I was just praying that UC would not lay an egg against Illinois.

I gotta give a lot of credit to the three final four teams from last year still in the tourney (Syracuse, Kansas, Texas). Between them they lost 4 of the top 12 picks in last years draft and Syracuse lost Edelin in February and they all made it to the second weekend. And all three have a reasonable shot of making it to San Antonio.

There's plenty of room! Jump right on!

Pfft, Krauser is good, but not thaaat good and definitely not a star. He's like Chris Paul for Wake--sure he's a good player, but is he a star? I don't think so.

Chris Paul will be a star. The kid has got amazing game.

I would rather he be a star in the next couple of years. I think Thursday night would be a great time for him to get the jitters.

I'm really looking forward to the Wake/St. Joes game. The teams seem to match up really well and it should be close. I'll probably be in the minority in the Philly bars cheering Wake on, but that's always fun as well.

I don't see Paul getting the jitters, but you never know. There were a couple of times in the Manhatten game where they needed a bucket and he just threw the team on his back and got them one.

Paul and Okefor are the only two players in this years tournament who I think will translate into great pro players. Everyone else seems destined to be a bench player in the NBA.

Who finished with a better record? :)

Who got the higher ranking? ;)

UConn is playing at 7:10 tomorrow, and I have class at 6. Looks like I'll be skipping class.

Lacrosse practice better be done by 7 tommorow night, otherwise blood will be shed.

ANNNNND it is my friend's birthday tomorrow, and he wants to go to the bar. He asked what time I want to leave and I told him that I had to watch UConn play.

He offered me a blank tape to record it, but I told him I had to stay home and watch it in my own peace. He seemed a little pissy, but fuck that, it's UConn baby!

Spoken like someone who's never even seen a lacrosse game. That game's brutal...worse than hockey at times.

The goalie wears a helmet, a little bit of pads, and that is it. They have to be crazy to be goalie.

I am surprised that LAX hasn't become popular in the US.

Alright, let's get this show on the road. I think that both games in E Rutherford are going to be incredible. It's rare that two teams will match up similar styles in a game, but I think that you'll see it twice tonight. I have absolutely no clue what's going to happen in these two games. It'll come down to who plays better, which is how it should be.

Nelson vs. Paul is going to be an awesome display of how to play the PG position. I haven't looked forward to two players going head to head like this in a long time.

If only we could've seen Carmelo vs. Lebron on this stage. That would've been too much.

Eh, we're moving out of the point of this thread, but yeah, it is one of the fastest growing sports in the US at the moment.

It isn't get that much attention on national television coverage because most of the peopel who do play LAX are younger than 18 or around that age, and it's hard to get large amounts of older viewers to tune in.

However, it is actually putting out "America's sport" in many areas as the exodus from baseball (and soccer to some degree) to lacrosse has been very great. Baseball, of course, is still stronger, but every year, the numbers of baseball players decrease, and especially here in Virginia where it has exploded, baseball is playing second to lacrosse when it comes to field arangements. Heck, my previous lacrosse coach was a pitcher for Stanford in the early 90's with Jack McDowell, but since has become addicted to lacrosse.

I predict though, when this new generation of lacrosse players mature a bit more, you'll be seeing A LOT of it. It's just with such a young demographic, it's hard to get much support behind the shows.

Btw, goalies aren't the only one's that need to watch out, a fwe weeks back, a player at Cornell was killed in a freak accident where he was struck right on the heart by a lacrosse ball. He took 3 steps and just fell down, dead. :( But usually you'd only make out with some bruises, if that...

But yeah, it is indeed a very cool and very fun sport. *thumbs up*

Anyway, back to the whole purpose of this thread (perhaps we should just make another Lax thread if people are interested?)

I am also really excited about tonight's matchup's, C Dub, and I intend to tape tonight's game between St. Joe's and Wake Forest. Should be exciting as hell. My pick is Wake Forest....but I'll be rootin' for St. Joe's, because after a few of the other Mid-major's didn't coem through, it's up to them to keep the progress of mid major's going through in the future.

If OK St. sure up their rebounding problem, they'll CRUSH Pitt.

The score is only 21-20 because Pitt has had 11 more offensive positions because of those O-rebounds.

Btw, Vandy/UConn is an absolute shitkicking. I don't think Moleslayer will need to keep his buddy waiting too long, lol.
