Depends on the copy protection scheme used. What cd do you want to copy?

This page has information on how do backups depending on the protections used.

Did anyone else here hear about the kind of copy protection that is basically just a program that AutoPlays when you insert it into your PC. You can just hold down SHIFT while putting the CD in or turn off AutoPlay and your CD is no longer copy protected.

Not sure if this helps or not.

That wasn't a bullshit answer.

Alcohol 120% is a program specifically used for what you want.

You sir are a god! :D worked perfectly.

Yeh i had heard about holding down shift, and even though it does sound like a wind up i tryed it and nothing happened.

That only works if you do that every time the disk is inserted. Otherwise the copy-interfering program will install itself and work its evil until you remove it. Spybot Search and Destroy can remove some of those viruses.

 Someone's been reading the classics. If there was a line about singing with it in your mouth then that was my favorite post.
