TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 Leave it to Bret to be the only person within the industry to mention Herc's death. And his respect for Benoit is really evident. We miss ay Bret.

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 Actually, I believe Heenan made mention of Hercules' passing too somewhere, so Bret isn't the only person to make mention of it.
Adam 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 Bobby mentioned it on WOL a coupel of weeks ago.
Guest wayzing Report post Posted March 22, 2004 I don't really follow his columns but I read them every now and then. Hasn't he toned them down considerably? Plugging his buddies school project, mentioning Herc's passing and acknowledging Benoit's epic win is fair game of course but it's not the somewhat controversial Bret Hitpen Hart of old. TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 What controversy does he have to spread? He seems contempt with where he is in life and I'm happy for him.

The old Hitman could've easily jumped on Lesnar's departure as proof of how McMahon is impossible to work with and so on. But the last year seems to have been good to Bret. He seems much more relaxed and if that's the reason for the "lack of controversy" I'm happy for him too.
