Sakura and Dama were having a debate that went to the NHB, and she used that is the title because that was the subject. Simple mis understanding, not a true deathwish. If you've been banned before, you will NOT be allowed back. Simple as that. Second chances are NOT given, so tread lightly. To be fair though, the main men (Dames and DocTom) can overturn a banning if they felt it was unwarranted (ex: Malibu banning FS), and apparently Dames felt Sakura was unfairly banned, though it was still one big messy situation As for Banky, I don't know what he did to get banned the first time around, so I don't know the severity or lack thereof that would make Dames allow him to come back after "fixing" the board "The Rules" that you quote were put into place as they now exist AFTER both of those posters were unbanned. Next, As it pertains to Sakura there's always been a precedent for unbanning posters that were unfairly banned. Sometimes the mods don't have all theinfo thus make the wrong choice. As For Banky, He saved the messageboard and was banned on a technaclity in the first place. He admitted that "I'm a troll. I like to piss people off." (Not an exact quote but the gist of it.) The "no second chance" rule was there before Sakura. I remember because it was brought up during the arguing over her reinstatement. The staff doesn't have to prove anything to the posters as to why someone was banned, there's no standard of reasonable doubt, and this isn't close to being a court of law. This messageboards, like every other one I can think of, are essentially dictatorships, with the admins and mods making the important decisions. Call it an oligarchy if the term "dictatorship" causes your panties to twist, but the result is the same. We try to be fair in every decision we make, and I think we do a very good job of it. There will be occasional incidents, but people are human, and drama will happen. Yes I know. I didn't say the staff had to prove anything. But really, this is just a messageboard, and different circumstances surrounding a few anonymous posters shouldn't even approach a topic of importance. ...I've never heard the words "just" and "message board" in the same sentence before. Then, if you concede the staff doesn't have tp prove anything, and you seem to be saying that no messageboard is just... what's the point of making an issue out of this? Yet at the same time, it really isn't any more or less stupid than the "no second chances rule" or some of the other ones. If you do something wrong, you should be banned for a couple days, or if it's really horrible, like a week. If they come back and they keep doing whatever they got banned for, then they should be gone for maybe a month or two. Anything more than that is just excessive. Because I don't think Krazy should have been banned. Does that mean I'm calling the staff out on it? No. Talk about it if you want to talk about it. Regardless of wether or not his "Krazy Karter" persona did anything wrong he has been banned MANY times because of his actions. Not one. Not Twice. Not even 5 times.
