MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Midway is behind NBA Ballers and I think one of the people who worked on Jam worked on it as well. It looks pretty cool, although its just 1 on 1. I might give it a rent.
razazteca Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I just bought a used copy of NBA Hangtime and just realized that this has been the engine used on nearly all Midway NBA games for what 5 years before people got annoyed with it. The create-a-character with the trivia point system was on the Dreamcast Midway basketball games which were merely player and court updates. But I'll still buy all of them If I can find them! Also I must say that Acclaim's NBA Jam Extreme was a complete piece of crap compared to the Midway basketball game Hangtime which was released the same year in 1996.
Adam Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 NBA Jam on Genesis will always be the best, for the simple facts that: a) cool fire followed you around when you got 3 baskets in a row b) Detlef Schrempf is in the game. Oh, and I used the Bulls.
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 a) cool fire followed you around when you got 3 baskets in a row That is in every version of NBA Jam that I can think of.
