Guest Jimbo Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I like the NBA draft because it gives all the crap teams a chance. A team who is 2-14 in the NFL really isn't that much worse than one who is 4-12 or 5-11, yet those teams who nnly win 4 or 5 games are set way back and end up with 8th or 9th'ish picks, which doesn't help them thaaaat much. It's the same thing in the NBA-- those bottom 5 teams really aren't that different. They all suck. They all have a lot of problems and they all need that #1 pick, so because one team won maybe won one more game than another, they lose the opportunity at the best player possible? That's silly. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 Are the Bobcats entered into the lottery? I can see them getting somebody, as well as Iverson off the expansion round of the draft when the Sixers decide not to keep him around. When the Raptors and Grizzlies first came in, they got the sixth and seventh picks in the 95 draft, respectively, on top of the expansion draft. They turned out being Damon Stoudamire and Bryant Reeves (BIG COUNTRY~) if anyone's curious. So I assume Charlotte will have a similarly positioned pick. And whether the Sixers are planning on dumping Iverson or not, I can guarantee on every penny that I have that they won't let him go to expansion. TRIVIA~ Who were the first expansion picks of Toronto and Vancouver?
