A *** KOTR Match, ***3/4 Rumble Match and a ****1/4 Series match and you give us the * Cage match? I'm disapointed. Like i was in the match, I had HIGH hopes for it since the last three were GREAT matches and I figured A cage would just be even better environment...instead each men Phoned it in...Nash being the usual lazy sack of potatos and Bret keeping healthy for Mania...Although Shawn did bump his fucking ass off early in the night against the OTHER hart in a ****1/4 match that gets forgotten too often Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Diesel murdered Hart, but Hart was the better wrestler and got a last ditch attempt that only worked because Diesel was so cocky. Anyways, I think the cage match is better than *, as Choken rated it. It went on WAY too long and the shitty finish didn't help either. I loved it. Probably because RR '95 was one of the first WWF videos I bought, and because the rest of the card sucked. I thought it helped to show that Diesel's title win wasn't a fluke, and that he could hold his own with Hart. It also showed that Diesel couldn't quite put Hart away, which eventually led to his demise as champion almost a year later. Plus it was a rare face vs. face main event match. There had to be some overbooking with HBK, Owen, and Backlund coming in. Plus Hart got Owen and Backlund back during the Rumble. The worst was the next year's RR where after a good 28 minute match, Diesel interferes and causes the shitty DQ in the Taker/Hart match. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I did think this period was an awesome one for Diesel's character, he really was quite a miserable bastard that I grew on me up until leaving in May for WCW.
