Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 7, 2004 Is there really a difference bewteen a retro 1975 jersey and a jersey created in 1975? About $800 in some cases. But...It's the same god damn thing! If anything, the bum's outfit is actually more authentic I'm not even going to get into paying 800 bucks for those ugly things.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 That's a good point, but fact is, people are stupid. But either way, it's styling if he matches, which he does.
Dandy 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 The $800 is a rare case that is not a replica. You can buy throwbacks for the price of regular jerseys in most cases. I was just giving the extreme difference for you. I'm not attacking you, Anglesault, but you seem to be oblivious to the hip-hop culture and style. Jerseys are on their way out now, I think, but retro is very much in.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I didn't know hip hop had a culture. Hell, my music never had a culture that we could blame fashion faux pas on! ::Remembers the 80s:: Nevermind.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 7, 2004 John Cena has awesome wear - the baggyness really adds to his gimmick. And, whether you'd notice or not, if I was John Cena, I'd probably want the more expensive/better-looking/legitimate apparel, 1975 or retro.
Styles 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I haven't read any of this long thread, but in response to the Batista comment, I don't know, but I do know I mark out every time Flair calls him "Big Dave".
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I find it rather ironic that whether or not this topic should've got it's own thread was questioned, yet there are 3 pages of it.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I think we have to assume Dave spent the 100 grand on his stylish threads.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I'm disturbed that Dave has 100K to spend.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I'm surprised very few people have said Jericho. He's got an interesting style all of his own, with the shiny shirts or black/white checkered pants. As far as Austin's fashion being bad, that's part of his gimmick. He's the redneck who doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. How often is there a redneck who is dressed nicely? His camo hat and tshirts are perfect. CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 I can't believe we are talking about awful style sense and no one has mentioned CHRISTIAN. First, the gauzy poet shirt. Then the mesh shirts, fuzzy hats (although funny and fitting), and oversized sunglasses. And now, the "I-shop-out-of-my-wife's-closet" look.
