Guest The Last Free Voice Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 Now that it's over, what was your opinion on it? I liked it. It really had the epic feel that it rightfully deserved. The story and art were fantastic. The only real gripe I have is that it seemed ALOT like Crisis. Your thoughts?
Kardo Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 It was okay. The art was off the charts good, the story was okay-ish but nothing special, way too much like Crisis, hell even using Krona was a nod to Crisis.
Betty Houle Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Very, very good. Superhero comic of the decade (so far). Great art. Just a lot of fun. Some may call it disappointing but how could any story live up to the build-up? Close enough for me!
pochorenella Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Haven't picked up issue #4 yet (stupid me) but from what I've heard it's a pretty good finale for the series. On the art front, no question George Perez busted his ass off and poured all his heart into making this dream project. No complaints on that part from me. As far as the story goes, I did see the Crisis likeness, and even though I didn't particularly ejoy that series, I find myself enjoying Busiek's. He's such a history buff, dropping little old-school bits here and there for us older fans. I'll share my final veredict on the series when I pick up issue #4 sometime this week.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I liked it better than Marvel vs. Dc because the winners weren't decided by polls.
EdwardKnoxII Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Does anyone know if it will be printed in trade paperback? I'd love to pick it up.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I don't think so, becuase of the duel companies and such. Maybe though.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Batman's admission that Cap could possibly defeat him is pretty intruging. I saw it not as an admission of defeat, but concedeing that it was possible for Cap to take him down. We still don't know who's DA MAN in comics.
brokentusk16 Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 I read all four issues last week and loved the whole damn thing. Best crossover story I've ever read (SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than Crisis). Busiek and Perez had a big hype to live up to and they did it.
Betty Houle Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Does anyone know if it will be printed in trade paperback? I'd love to pick it up. The Hardcover (which includes the 22 pages of art finished from Avengers/JLA Mach. One done in the 80's) is due this summer. Trade paperback to follow?
