Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2004 Didn't Benoit show up on RAW the next night? Edit: Okay then, my mistake. How did that work? He gave the title back before he jumped.
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted April 13, 2004 Didn't Benoit show up on RAW the next night? Yep. No. Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko, and Saturn debuted on Raw two weeks later (1/31/00).

Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 13, 2004 The crowd was sitting on its hands when Beniot won.... oye I was there. CINCY HATED BENOIT. Before the show...they announce That Bret Hart wasn't appearing and that got a loud boo...and they said that Jeff Jarrett is out of action as well...mild boos for that as the T.T.T was the major match of the night and said "The new main event for the vacant title will be SID (Small pop) Vs Chris Benoit (massive heat)....Then we all sat there in boredom/disapointment. So what do you think of your boy's match with Sid? Meh, **1/4 Benoit did a good job working on the leg, and SID did good to sell it......but suddenly quit.......so it wasn't terrible...... Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 It was never billed as being special, that's why they had no reaction.......they were probably all surprised. That must be it. It couldn't be that people didn't care about Benoit because he's boring.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 Thanks for posting. Certainly a feel good moment to see Benoit (of all people) get the Championship in WCW (of all promotions) over someone like Sid. Also nice to know, he never really lost the title. deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 Did WCW ever announce on their website that Jarret and Hart wouldn't be wrestling at the event? It's just that if I was american and had bought the PPV because of the matches involving them then I'd have been pissed.
Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 Also nice to know, he never really lost the title. Why is that nice to know? Who cares? I know wrestling is your hobby and your post ir probably made all in good fun and all but... It's a fake freakin' belt! It gets "really" lost when the promotion says so. Who gives a crap if he left WCW never having "lost" the title. Sheesh. My apologies if that sounded harsh. Or if you're under the age of 16.

Beast 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 I enjoyed the match, seemed better than 2.5 stars to me, but I don't give out ratings. It had a nice flow, Sid actually sold the leg, all in all good stuff. It's just weird seeing that Benoit got such a huge ovation at WrestleMania, winning the title, but almost no reaction here. He seemed pretty emotional too, as it was his first WORLD title. Cincy fans suck.

So unless someone is told "hey, this is special and you should react" then people are too dumb to know to react on their own?
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 How can you even react to a finish that quick? Sid tapped like a jobber. If you took a sip of your drink you missed it!
