Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 who's in the green room? I could see BenRo slipping if the Giants trade down. and the Chargers went public because the're would be fan riots if they didn't take Manning.
Cartman Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Looks like Manning will be a Giant. Kinda funny cause all those NY fans just ripped him a new asshole.
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 is there anywhere else I can watch this? No
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 This should be fun, if the Giants take Rivers you KNOW what is about to happen.
Guest MikeSC Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 The Chargers had to go public, though, because what do they tell their fans if they pass on Manning for some secret reason. Tell 'em the truth --- that they, by all accounts, had Philip Rivers as being roughly Eli's equal on their draft board. It's not like you can possibly argue that Eli is that much better than either Ben or Rivers. -=Mike
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 when guys at home get picked over guys at the draft it brings a smile to my face.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 OMG.. I hate this kid. You know, I don't get the Eli hate. He doesn't want to play for SD. It's not like HE went public with this. SD went public with this, only guaranteeing that he'll NEVER sign with them as they embarrassed him and his father. If somebody REALLY doesn't want to play for somebody, why it so wrong to quietly tell them so? Again, if the Bolts didn't go public and picked, say, Rivers --- nobody would have given a damn. -=Mike ...Of course, they also lose A LOT of trading power now. A pick is FAR easier to trade than a draft pick everybody knows will not sign with you Because it's a freaking honor to play in a major sport. He's alittle whiney bitch. SD was right with going public. You don't need to lie to your fans and the world and put some fake little pretty boy image over the Mannings, when clearly they're little bitches. I understand he doesn't want to play for a certain team. Get over it. Hell, he isn't even the best QB in the draft, nor the best player in the draft (IMO, and many others opinion). He says he's gonna sit out a year and reenter the draft? That is fucking LOW. Class A pansy shit. That's just me though. I can't stand people like that. He'll probally get his little way and get traded anyways.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Looks like Manning will be a Giant. Kinda funny cause all those NY fans just ripped him a new asshole. It would be funny if everybody there was a Giants fan, however they aren't.

They had to come out and say it so fuck Eli and his little Manning bunch. I wanted him as a Raider so he could "GEE GOLLY" the Oakland fans. They would have lynched him in the endzone.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 yeah but Jets fans boo just to boo. That's what makes the draft fun.
the pinjockey Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I agree wholeheartedly that you can argue Manning and Rivers are even. But to steal a concept from Men in Black, people are stupid. You could explain the idea to one fan, but if your entire fan base sees you passed on a Manning (especially considering what happened to the Chargers in the last Manning draft) there will be riots.

He let them know, well in advance, that he didn't want to be there. They could have easily gone with Ben or Rivers and gotten few complaints. I don't think teams should "prove a point" at the expense of the team. Because the fans wouldn't buy that after they had ESPN shoveling down their throats that Eli was a future great. They had to come out and say it so fuck Eli and his little Manning bunch. I wanted him as a Raider so he could "GEE GOLLY" the Oakland fans. They would have lynched him in the endzone. Then blame ESPN for over-hyping him. SD would suck with him. They'll suck without him. As for losing respect --- Elway got over it. -=Mike
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Looks like Manning will be a Giant. Kinda funny cause all those NY fans just ripped him a new asshole. Rightfully so. This kid is gonna get booed at many places. He's already lost alot of respect all over before he's even played an NFL game.
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Select Rivers and then trade him to the Chargers to see that one Giant fan go "WHAT?!?" after thinking they had Rivers. And that other Giant fan who puts both hands on his head and mutters for a few seconds on camera.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 did anybody figure out what's up with this Udechei guy? Is his arm falling off or what?

Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 You know what would be really classy but would never happen? When Kellen Winslow Jr is drafted he appologises publicly for his "I'm a fucking soldier" thing and says "I'm no soldier...that man was a soldier" and points to Tillman's jersey.
the pinjockey Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Washington has already taken too long. Just take Winslow and move on.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 that would be the worst thing ever
LaParkaMarka Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 This is retarded, ESPN radio cuts away before every pick. Hello, the whole point is to hear the freaking picks.
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Phillip Rivers will be the next Bernie Kosar? ...ummm.....that's the best Kiper could think of?
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I dunno I do, however, I wanna hear Kiper give one of these picks the "Trev Alberts treatment" only for him to get ripped by the GM of whichever team, just for the sheer comedic value.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 See, Rivers ... that's how you handle it. Good kid.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 so Taylor or Winslow here?
Guest MikeSC Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Uhm, because THEY think he's the best. By every report heading in, Rivers and Manning were basically even on the SD draft board. -=Mike
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 You think Phillip Rivers is excited about being in the NFL? He just seems to be excited about being a Giant or excited about being a Charger. He's just really excited to be playing football. Just really excited. He's so excited to be excited that he's excited. Could be be anymore excited? Could he say EXCITED a few more times.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 is it really necessary to show commercials for the draft during the draft?
