Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Uhm, because THEY think he's the best. By every report heading in, Rivers and Manning were basically even on the SD draft board. -=Mike Thus the reason for an upcoming trade.
KingPK Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Gotta hype up that second day. Guys you never heard of, cries of "he might make an impact" after every pick, and 4+ hours of Mel Kieper Jr. reaching page 453 on his "Draft Day Bullshitting" guide.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Looks like the Browns got schooled~!~
LaParkaMarka Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Gotta hype up that second day. Guys you never heard of, cries of "he might make an impact" after every pick, and 4+ hours of Mel Kieper Jr. reaching page 453 on his "Draft Day Bullshitting" guide. "He could be a good special teams player"
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 HOLY SHIT! THE GIANTS GOT SCHOOLED! Â FUCKING DAMN! GO CHARGERS!
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Holy shit. Â That crowd was insane when that trade was announced.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Giants fans chanting Giants suck. Awesome. Â and all this time we thought the Chargers were the ones being held hostage...
LaParkaMarka Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Wow, maybe the Chargers aren't as inept as we thought.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Giants got played. Or clowned, if you will.
the pinjockey Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Giving up next year's one is just insane. They are going to have a top 10 pick again next year.
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 So the Chargers get the pick they want, they get a third this year AND the 1st and the 5th round next year. Â And now the Giants will have to pay Manning first pick money and their fans are pissed off more than Jet fans.
KingPK Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Someone call the cops, because the highway just got robbed! Wow, the Giants must have REALLY wanted Manning. Hope Eli likes the New York scene NOW.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 So SD grabs a Rashaun Woods type WR in the 2nd?
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 http://boards.espn.go.com/cgi/nfl/request....ST&room=nfl_nyg Â
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Where does Drew Brees go now that San Diego has Philip Rivers?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 he might stick around for a while
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 http://boards.espn.go.com/cgi/nfl/request....ST&room=nfl_nyg Priceless
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Considering the division the Giants are in, they could very well have just gave up the #1 pick in the 2005 draft. Â And since the Chargers are rebuilding, they will have a 5-7 pick maybe higher. SD really just railroaded the Giants here.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I am glad I'm not a Giants fan. Â Not only did they pick up a FIRST ROUND PICK next year along with a 3rd and 5th...but I think they got the better QB. Â Imagine LT at running back and a quick releasing accurate QB running things.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 the best thing on that board was "I'm moving to NY and was thinking about becoming a Giants fan, but after you guys got raped, I'm a J-E-T-S fan"
KingPK Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 EA's updated their Madden site, so here are the first three picks:  #1: Eli Manning  #2 Robert Gallery  #3 Larry Fitzgerald
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 what did the Browns give up?
KingPK Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Browns trade up and nab Winslow. That's two straight Hurricanes picked.
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Cleveland grabs Winslow, I think that is a damn fine pick in the tough AFC. Have fun going across the middle on Ray Lewis kid.
