The 2004 NFL Draft

Recommended Posts

Guess the Jags will grab Will Smith from Ohio State or trade out of the pick. I'd think trade out but unless it's Buffalo or Pittsburgh, I can't see who would want to move up to grab Big Ben.

Given the cost of moving up this year...would anyone?

I sure hope my team doesn't.

I'm half expecting to hear

"The Buffalo Bills give Jacksonville their first round pick, second round, third round and a cattle ranch in Oklahoma. Plus their first round picks for the next three years and select Stephen Jackson, running back Oregon State."

Just to see someone snap.

Well Kerry was his first few years in the NFL. If they can get him back on the drugs, you never know what they can accomplish!

Exactly. If Cleveland gave up a 2nd rounder to move up a whole one spot, who knows what Buffalo would have to give up to move up several spots.

You'd think Cleveland would have been able to trade a 3rd rounder to move up one spot.

It's not like he's a bad prospect. Nothing wrong with picking him. I really thought they would have taken Will Smith.

Maybe there won't be as many good WR as we thought in the 2nd round.

But they could have easily dealt down to grab him. The pick doesn't make much sense this high considering how much teams are getting for deals.

Texans have got to be trading down. I don't know much of what they need but I know it's not QB or RB.

What would it take to move up three spots this year? A second and a fourth?

Your first born child and all your picks it seems.

Well...if the Bills want to take their Big Bust Roethlisberger...they have to trade up now.

I think BenRo has the best chance of becoming a star. The guy is a monster. He won't have as much pressure for slipping down so far. I think people are sleeping on him because of his conference.

and Gallery, what else can you say? If anyone watched Raiders games last year they'll realise that Gannon and Tuiasosopo were getting massacred. They didn't have time to throw, or for the receiver to develop their routes. Moreover, their running game got very little penetration. Gallery, with Ron Stone, and a healthy O-Line, will repair both the passing and running games in one fell swoop.

It would have been nice to get some of the more flashy stars, but Gallery is an animal, he'll help them immedietly. PLUS, as the drafting on Anaquin Boldin proved last year, one can still get a very very good WR in the second round.
