BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 -The latest in a series of rumors regarding NWA-TNA's scheduling plans is that the company will continue to produce weekly Wednesday night pay-per-views. The word backstage is that TNA will tape FSN shows in Orlando two or three times per month, and continue to hold live pay-per-view events at least three times per month, with the fourth monthly show possibly be taped. This would be good news for the talent since they will be working more dates and thus earning more money. -TNA officials have yet to officially announce FSN deal to the wrestlers, but sources say office workers have been discussing it with their friends on the talent roster. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 So there will be the TNA PPV, a FSN show, and XPlosion? This fucking company really needs to sit down and figure their shit out, because it'll blow up in their faces if they don't. Even if the show is only one hour, how are you going to substantiate people buying the PPV weekly with the FSN broadcast? You can't have anything major happen on the show because it devalues the PPV, and at the same time, you can't have it become XPlosion #2 after all the time and money spent to get themselves a TV deal. I'd say the only good thing that can come out of this is if TNA is hoping for great ratings (for FSN, a la, above a .3). As a result of the good ratings, TNA may be able to convince them that a 2 hour show (on FSN) would work out for both parties, which would leading to TNA finally doing away with the PPVs. And please don't cancel XPlosion. I have fun recapping it.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I'd assume FSN would start carrying Xplosion as well. Maybe on Saturday. That way you can be refreshed before going into the Sunday show as well as run some hype for it.
Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Here's how I think just having that hour on FSN will help the weekly ppv's. No one in the country knows about TNA, except smarks. Just having their show out there, some wrestling fans will see it. They'll watch, and they'll be interested. They might check out the ppv's.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 But nobody in their right mind will pay 10 dollars for it again after seeing it the first time unless the show improves 10-fold. They will just watch the FSN show.

geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Or they could just make the weekly FSN show really really bad, that would make the PPV seem great in comparison. I hope they are not this stupid, if they make the television show nothing more than an advertisement for the weekly PPV's then they are dumber than I thought, and I already thought they were run by a bunch of window lickers. --credit William Regal
Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 You know the big deal is trying to figure out a timeslot on Fox Sports Network. Because mainly the show will be pre-empted due to games from a sport. Personnally I think maybe a Tuesday night would be fine. Maybe something like Tuesday night at 9:00.
