So I'm going to Boston next week

Recommended Posts

Also, Bostonians are the most polite, courteous people I've ever had to deal with, everywhere we went we were treated very well. One thing that surprised me is that on a friday night, during rush hour in the very center of the city, drivers stop to let one person cross the street, I was truly surprised 'cause never in a LIFETIME would you see this in Quebec.

Ha ha ha ha ... ha ha haha (oh, wait, he's being serious?!?) I don't know how you got so lucky, but we here in Boston normally pride ourselves on being rude, or at best disinterested in being nice. Must have been the nice weather.

And it's funny how you mention that people never do that in Quebec, when I go to MTL or to the City, we tend to jaywalk a ton and never even think twice about getting smacked by a car. Yet, I really look twice in Boston before attempting the same thing. Grass is always greener, I guess.

I've visited each once, and I enjoyed Boston more than New York. I had been in NY for four minutes, and someone gave me the finger.

Well try harder, 'cause in terms of rudeness Boston is Quebec's bitch

I actually couldn't disagree, most of the rudeness that I've encountered in Quebec has been in French, and thus sounds about as rude (or intimidating) as a little girl walking her puppy.

But it'll be a cold day in Hell before anyone from Boston allows someone from Quebec call them a bitch. (I was going to say a "cold day in Quebec", indicating that Quebec = hell, but then realized that it's often cold in Quebec and that would ruin my point.) Let me know the next time your short bus is rolling into my city; I'll make sure the rudeness meets the imposing levels set by your Canadian brethren.

Never rate real life experiences with star ratings.

I have this picture in my head of one of these internet schmucks getting a blowjob (an unlikely scenario, to be certain) and then telling the chick, "***1/2. Impressive workrate (a 9.5) but you need to work on your transitions." Well, I try not to actually picture this but I certainly imagine it happens.

I used to live in Boston. It's a cool enough city.
