If you died today, what song....

Recommended Posts

They broke up in September 1999, because the lead singer, Greg Alexander, didn't like being in, what he considered, quote: "was just a one-hit-wonder band".

Last I heard, Alexander is now producing and writing pop songs for some boy bands and some rock songs for some underground/independant artists.

Ah, shame. Way to turn yourself into one hit wonders though, by quitting after one song.

I'll have to look for their stuff online. I only know the one song.

Shamefully enough, I'm downloading Jimmy Ray right now. Damn you.

If anyone played some whiney emotional song I'd hop from the casket and eat their fucking brains.

A couple I would allow:

Hey Dude by Beatallica

The Omen theme song performed by Fantomas

Last Caress by the Misfits

Ramses Bringer Of War by Nile (while walking my casket out...man, that would be fucking awesome).

Wow, potentially the worst Bon Jovi song ever.

If you're going to do Bon Jovi, at least go with the acoustic versions of "Living on a Prayer" or "Wanted Dead or Alive".

In other news, I've thought of a few more songs that I would use:

Bob Dylan's "In My Time of Dying" (off of his S/T debut)

Bob Dylan's "Fixing to Die" (Also off of his S/T debut)

Bob Dylan's unplugged version of "Knocking on Heaven's Door"

Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven"

Whiskeytown's "Sit and Listen to the Rain"

Beta Band's "Dry the Rain"

Man they are all bad. Living on a Prayer is only good in a kareoke setting.

I'm not talking the version of "Living on a Prayer" that's on Slippery When Wet, I'm talking about the acoustic version that they did for 9/11. But the point you make is valid...you don't pick a good Bon Jovi song, you pick the least awful.

JSYK its not that i like the song, its just that was the song playing on mtv while i was reading this topic and it just sorta made sense.

but looking back i would just have "in the end" by linkin park playing as it would symbolises my life at this moment

These Are The Days of Our Lives - Queen

Princes of the Universe - Queen

Rocket Man - Elton John

Free Bird - Lynryd Skynryd

But what I would really want played would be "Tuesday's Gone" again by Skynryd.

First thing that jumps to mind is Acid Bath - Dr. Seuss Is Dead

I really couldn't give a shit what they play at my funeral, my being dead and all. Hell, just tie a big rock to my carcass and dump me in the river for all i care.

I always envisioned everyone at my Funeral swaying back and fourth singing Spirit in the Sky for some reason. Actually, I'd want more of a creepy Andy Kaufman funeral where a video of me singing plays on a screen above my casket and everyone has to sing along.

They've been playing the acoustic version at every show since they came back in 2000.

Know why? They're pussies.

Maybe I'll add a second CD with music from horror movies to my funeral album
