Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted April 23, 2004 - Terry Funk is set to return to the WWE on April 30th for the RAW brand house show in Amarillo, TX. They are promoting that Eric Bischoff is bringing Funk in to maintain law and order. Boy, they must be getting desperate to try and sell a few more tickets to do this. Otherwise I have no idea why they would do it.......
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Is Terry Funk only coming back for that House Show since it's in Amarillo or is he coming back for awhile?
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Good, I was wondering when they'd have the Auction site again. It was neat to see pieces of WWE memorabilia.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Is Terry Funk only coming back for that House Show since it's in Amarillo or is he coming back for awhile? I imagine that he would only be doing this one time. I am sure the only reason the WWE wants to do so is so that they could really boost their attendance if Funk was there. Anything that will help them. From Beyond the Mat, it seems like Funk is a minor deity in Amarillo.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Is bringing Funk in for a house show really a good idea? I've never been to a house show so I don't know if they do like backstage segments or not. But if they don't that would mean Funk would have to do a lot of apperances, well maybe not at lot but at least 3 or do something huge since he's Austin's replacement....Speaking of Austin I'm sure JR isn't happy about this. haVoc 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Is bringing Funk in for a house show really a good idea? Money is money. It's only a house show, the average fan will never know.. or would probably care about Terry Funk. I've never been to a house show so I don't know if they do like backstage segments or not. It's all in ring. But if they don't that would mean Funk would have to do a lot of apperances, well maybe not at lot but at least 3 or do something huge since he's Austin's replacement Huh? Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Don't worry Havoc, I lost my wording there. I was going somewhere and sorta forgot where I was taking it. What I was trying to say is, if WWE doesn't use backstage segments a lot, that Funk would be doing a lot of in-ring apperances or changing rules in matches or something like that. Thats where I was trying to take it and trying to put it in question from.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Shelton Benjamin vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Intercontinental Title I'd order Bad Blood just for that match.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 RAW: Chris Benoit vs. Triple H for the World Title Edge vs. Kane Shelton Benjamin vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Intercontinental Title Chris Jericho vs. Christian Rhyno vs. Batista Victoria & Lita vs. Molly Holly & Gail Kim Hurricane & Rosey vs. La Resistance Matt Hardy vs. A-Train Okay, Flair and HBK not being there I can understand... But no Trish? Damn it! At least I'll get to see Benoit vs. Triple H live, with an absolute guarantee that Chris is going over! Whoo-hoo! I thought I read they'd done away with intermissions at house shows...but there's Rhyno vs. Batista right in the middle of the card...at least everyone will be acting like its an intermission. EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 WWE News: Heyman, Tomko, Mysterio, More Some WWE news items.... - Make of this what you will. AWAStars.com claims that they can put together Hulk Hogan vs. Steve Austin matches for indy shows, fairs, casinos, etc. If interested, email them at [email protected]. - Rey Mysterio has been cleared to return to the ring. - At this point, Paul Heyman's return as GM appears to have been a one night only thing. The plan is to continue to have Kurt Angle as the GM. This may change eventually but as of now, that is the plan. - Many wrestlers are upset over WWE calling up Tyson Tomko from OVW. Wrestlers feel that Tomko is very green, does not know how to act backstage, and was called up only due to his size. Credit: PWtorch.com

Guest JRE Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Matt Cappotelli vs. Hardcore Holly See, the onmly way Mr. Holly can be in any form of an interesting feud is if it's based on an actual incident. Getting dropped on your head...."taking liberties"...ya know?

AWAStars.com claims that they can put together Hulk Hogan vs. Steve Austin matches for indy shows, fairs, casinos, etc. If interested, email them at [email protected]. Ironic that the dead-est of the once-great promotions could hypothetically regain 13 years of lost momentum if they put together this match (on, say, an AWA PPV). Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 24, 2004 - SmackDown!'s ratings are disappointing - just like the shows. - This bidding idea is excellent - if their show/s can't be successful, at least something can. I might even open my wallet for it. - The House Show cards aren't looking too bad, except for some bad booking and crap. - Terry Funk, huh? Will he be on television? And is Mick Foley still working for the company? Will check WWE.com
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 24, 2004 It's Amarillo, where he's at home and extremely popular. At the very least it will get the word out.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 24, 2004 I was so preoccupied with the fact that it was Terry Funk to fully interpret the location.
